As the pioneer devastating pests of Pinus armandi Tsai et Li,once the Dendroctonus armandi Franch attacked the host in a large number, resulting rapidly weakness of the tree, meanwhile bringing secondary beetles burst utile the host dead, which is serious to the sustainable development of the ecological environment in Qinling forest. In order to achieve a better management, this paper was started in the view of the chemical substances, the D.armandi was anatomized at room temperature(25℃)in order to obtain the tree bark , the dejection and hindgut volatiles from both male and female. The volatiles were extracted by Petroleum ether and hexane, analyzed by the GC-MS,biometricsed by"Y"-type olfactometer to reveal the damage mechanism of D.armandi from the perspective of chemical communication. The study shows:1. There are 40 compounds identified from the volatiles of tree barks, the main components were olefin compounds, aromatic hydrocarbons (naphthalene, phenanthrene, azulene, benzene and its derivatives),alcohols, aldehydes, ketones and alkanes. There were 14 species of terpenes,of which contains 15 kinds of compounds. The most abundant were n-Hexadecanoic acid 22.69%;α-pinene 17.45%;benzene 8.89%.2. That of the 23 compounds identified from the hindgut volatiles of female, most are terpene acids 75.76%,9,12-octadecadienoic acid (Z, Z) accounting for 28.29%;followed terpenes 7.24% , of which 2,6,10,14,18,22-Tetracosahexaene,2,6,10,15,19,23-hexamethyl (all-E) accounted for 4.12%;ester compounds4.18%;male and female steroids 4.13%. In addition, small amounts of alcohols, aldehydes, ketones and alkanes. Organic acid, terpenes and esters reached to 87.18%,are major components of the hindgut volatile.3. That of the 25 compounds identified from the hindgut volatiles of male, the rosin acid resin was most, accounting for 22.37%,followed by palmitic acid methyl ester 15.47%,a small amount of alcohol and alkanes besides organic acid. Organic acids, esters and terpenes content reached to 87.18%,were the major components of the male.4. That of the 33 identified from the dejction of the D.armandi, inculding organic acids 34.21%,among which resin acid took up 17.11%;followed by terpenes 22.02%,α– pinene,7.84%;naphthalenes 11.10%;Alcohols 9.98% and small amounts of aldehydes, ketones, esters, phenols,Philippines category,Azulene, and steroids. Organic acids, terpenes, naphthalene compounds reached 87.18%,as the main component of dejection. The behavioral response to 9,12-octadecadienoic acid,9-octadecenoic acid,α-pinene and methyl palmitate were tested by Y-olfactometerin in 4 (0.1μlμl-1,0.01μlμl-1,0.05μlμl-1,0.001μlμl-1),which showed:under the same concentration,α-pinene,9,12-octadecadienoic acid and 9-octadecenoic acid showed a significant trend,at the rate 73.33%,56.67% and 53.33% indicating that there were selective differences among the D.armandi, with the order ofα- pinene> 9,12-octadecadienoic>9-octadecenoic acid;under different concentrations, the induce effect of D.armandi was different,0.05μlμl-1 was best and optimal concentration. The D.armandi chemical substances maybe some terpenes or unsaturated fatty acid by GC-MS analysis and indoor Bioassay,α– pinene,9,12-octadecadienoic acid,9- octadecenoic could be the chemical substances of the D.armandi. This study provides further theoretical basis of chemical communication mechanism,to achieve the sustainable management purpose.
