Pomegranate is also known as pomegranate, sea garnet.It is a small trees or deciduousshrub which belongs to Punicaceae,Punica L.,Iran,Afghanistan and northern India are theearliest countries which cultivated pomegranate trees in the world,dating back about5000yaers. China began planting pomegranate from the Western Han Dynasty. Huili located inXichang City of Sichuan province is the largest pomegranate production areas, due to itsexcellent geographical location.Huili Pomegranate was well-known to large fruit,thinpeel,soft grain,concentrated juice,sweet fruit,superb quality and flavor.However,In recentyears,fruits appears some security problems due to environmental pollution and uselarge-scale pesticides.Pomegranate as one of the very popular fruit attracted widespreadconcern because of its unique medicinal value.So it is important to establish a effective andquick method which is used to detect the heavy metals in pomegranate.It can provide atheoretical basis for the pomegranate industry through the research of heavy metals of Huilipomegranate.It also avail in-depth study and development of the pomegranate.The main object of study is dominated by Huili pomegranate in order to probe into aquick method of detecting heavy metal residues in pomegranate,with a view to provide amodel for the heavy metal detection of other pomegranate.The main results were as follows:(1)The results of pomegranate sample pre-treatment method.The pomegranate samplewhich for detecting heavy metal were digested by microwave oven.The optimum microwavedigestion was getted through the optimization of experimental conditions.The experimentsshow that juice needs18min to completely digest,however pomegranate peel and seeds need19min.(2)The detection method of three heavy metals such as Cu,Zn,Pb.The Cu and Zn inpomegranate were determined by Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry,The Pb inpomegranate were determined by Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption Spectrometry.TheRSD of three elements were respectively0.68%,0.44%and1.19%. The spiked recoveriesrange from98.1%to105.8%,The test results were suitable to determinate three heavy metalsof pomegranate.(3)The detection method of two heavy metals such as As、Hg.The As and Hg inpomegranate were determined by Atomic Fluorescence Spectrometry,The optimum carriergas flow rate,shielding gas flow, carrier agent,reducing agent confirmed by experiments.TheRSD of two elements were respectively3.42%and1.5%. The spiked recoveries range from95.2%to111.3%,The test results apply to determinate As,Hg of pomegranate. (4)The determination of heavy metal content in different varieties of Huili pomegranate.The result show that,The heavy metal content in different parts of different pomegranatevarieties are quite different,the heavy metal content in the different parts of the samepomegranate varieties are also different.
