To improve our greenhouse environment control levels is the key to enhance the international competitiveness of our greenhouse production in the world. This is also the problems our country have been focusing on for over ten years. During the "Ninth Five-year Plan","Tenth Five-year Plan" and "Eleventh Five-year Plan", thanks to many research institutes and related enterprises efforts, greenhouse control technology has made good progress, almost meet the production requirements. But in the commercial application, cable measurements occupied the mainstream. The arrangement of wire in the greenhouse is very complicated. The maintenance cost is high. Some new products based the newest radio transmission technology ZigBee. But these products mainly focus on the online monitoring. Rarely of them have control modules. The majority front line workers urgently need a greenhouse remote monitoring system which operation is easy and simple, power cost is low.According to this instance, we designed a greenhouse remote video monitoring system which based on the technology of ZigBee, Internet and wireless webcam. The research mainly studies and conclusions are as follows:1) According to the situation of the greenhouse monitoring system construction, we put forward a new system design plan.2) We designed the hardware of the lower computer. They can not only collect the light, temperature, humidity data automatically, but also control the relays.3) Introduced the wireless webcam, realized the effect of "What You See Is What You Get". The operation is more humane.4) With the help of RS232-RJ45protocol conversion module, we can transform the serial data into Ethernet data. Then, we can share the data by send them to the Internet.5) The protocol based on the TI Z-stack2007.The software can collect the information, deploy the nodes, and upload data automatically.6) The software of upper computer design based on the Microsoft Visual Studio2005.It has a lot of functions, such as data record, history curve inquires, network topologies structure display, information management.7)In order to research the relationship between communication distance and several other factors, we do lot of professional tests. According to the concludes of them, we can do better use in the practical engineering.The whole system has done tested in the laboratory and NEAU horticultural facilities engineering center. The result show that the wireless sensor network working steadily, the monitoring system working properly, the measurement and control effect is fine. The relays responded quickly. The video is fluent.The delay time of remote access is small. Generally, the system meet the engineering requirements.The study of the research may have significant impact on increasing the production of agriculture and sustainable development of the society.
