The study was designed to determine the effects of Bacillus and bagasse input toPenaeus vannamei ponds on the shrimp growth index, pond water quality,Bacillusbiomass in the ponds. The results of these studies are listed below.1Effects of bagasse input to Penaeus vannamei ponds on the shrimp growthindex and pond water qualityGrowth index and pond water quality were studied during a70day trial in250m~2cement ponds. The results showed that the experiment group that introduced bagasseat the concentration of0.5kg/m~2had the normal shrimp output, feed coefficient, survival rate.In the later stage of the experiments, the experiment group thatintroduced bagasse had lower ammonia-N but higher NO2-N and COD.2Effects of bagasse and Bacillus input to Penaeus vannamei ponds on the shrimpgrowth index and pond water qualityGrowth index, pond water quality. Bacillus biomass in the ponds were studiedduring a80day trial in30m~2cement ponds. The results showed that the experimentgroup that introduced bagasse at the concentration of1kg/m~2,the experiment groupthat introduced Bacillus at the concentration of1.0×10~3cfu/mL and the group thatintroduced both bagasse and Bacillus had the best effectiveness to aquaculture thanthe control group. The group that introduced both bagasse and Bacillus had the besteffectiveness to aquaculture, with survival rate raised by13.3%,feed coefficientreduced by11.9%,shrimp output raised by13.5%than the control group. The result ofpond water quality showed that the experiment group that introduced bagasse hadlower ammonia-N but higher COD than the control group;the experiment group thatintroduced Bacillus had lower ammonia-N and lower COD than the control group.Thegroup that introduced both bagasse and Bacillus had the best effectiveness to pondwater quality. The experiment group that introduced bagasse or Bacillus supported a larger Bacillus biomass in pond water and shrimp intestinal.3Effects of bagasse and Bacillus at different concentration input to Penaeusvannamei ponds on the shrimp growth index and pond water qualityDuring the80day experiment in30m~2cement ponds, growth index, pond waterquality,Bacillus biomass in pond water and shrimp intestinal were studied. Theresults showed that the experiment group that introduced bagasse at the concentrationof1kg/m~2Bacillus at the concentration of1.0×10~4cfu/mL had the best effectiveness toaquaculture. The survival rate shrimp output were higher than other groups,Feedcoefficient were lower than other groups. In the laboratory, under the condition ofhigh-density culture, bagasse input to shrimp ponds supported a larger higher survivalrate. The experiment group that introduced both bagasse and Bacillus at theconcentration of1.0×10~4cfu/mL had lower ammonia-N and COD than the controlgroup;the experiment group that introduced both bagasse and Bacillus at theconcentration of1.0×10~3cfu/mL or1.0×10~2cfu/mL had lower ammonia-N but higherCOD than the control group. In the experiment group that introduced Bacillus,CODwas lower than the control group and the experiment group that introduced bagasse,ammonia-N was lower than the control group but higher than the experiment groupthat introduced both Bacillus at the same concentration and bagasse. Bagasse input toshrimp ponds and higher Bacillus introduced concentration supported larger Bacillusbiomass in pond water and shrimp intestinal.4Effects of bagasse and Bacillus at different concentration input to Penaeusvannamei ponds on the water quality of shrimp ponds drainageIn the later stage of the80day experiment in30m~2cement ponds, water quality ofshrimp ponds drainage introduced bagasse and Bacillus at different concentrationwere studied. water quality of shrimp ponds drainage results showed that ammonia-Nof all the experiment groups,NO2--N was not significantly lower than the controlgroup. Bagasse introduced to shrimp ponds could raise the COD of ponds drainage, but Bacillus introduced to shrimp ponds could reduce the COD of ponds drainage. The results showed that the experiment group that introduced both bagasse andBacillus at the concentration of1.0×10~4cfu/mL had best effectiveness to water quality of shrimp ponds drainage.
