Soil is a continuous space-time variant of the spatial variability of soil properties with strong spatial heterogeneity of soil properties mainly affected by soil parent material, climate, topogray, PH, soil processes, and some man-made factors. With the development of statistics, the spatial heterogeneity of soil analysis in constant expansion and updating. With the development of geostatistics, geostatistics has been able to better reveal the properties of qualitative spatial distribution of variables, mutation, and related features. But mainly through the application of soil experts to study the south geostatistics spatial distribution of soil properties and its variation, but for the Midland Oasis, Hexi District, and Soil characteristics associated with different spatial locations in the spatial variability the lack of a comprehensive study. Therefore, this article in Gansu Hexi area of Zhangye City Midland Oasis as the research object, using a combination of geostatistics and GIS methods, quantitative application of semivariogram By selecting soil moisture, soil salt and soil PH value, total nitrogen, analysis of the four indicators as an object, combined with soil properties law, summed up the spatial heterogeneity of soil properties.Paper is divided into six chapters:The first chapter is the introduction part focuses mainly expounds the background, significance, study area selection and research, and review related research at home and abroad. The second chapter of the study area makes the introduction, and soil data research methods, including sampling and data processing methods that mainly focuses on testing and data research methods-to statistics. The third chapter is the main part of the article, this section is divided into three parts, the first study area for the soil samples according to the sampling classical statistical analysis carried out to obtain the basic characteristics of soil properties. The fourth chapter in the use of ArcGIS to statistics module, the sampling area to statistical analysis, statistical characteristics of soil in the analysis and rule summary. is the soil characteristics of the sampling area using ArcGIS software interpolation module characteristics of each space interpolation of the variation.Chapter V is the soil characteristics of the sampling area using ArcGIS software interpolation module characteristics of each space interpolation of the variation.Chapter VI summarizes the paper’s conclusions, and proposed to be improved and strengthened for future research directions...
