Armeniaca vulgaris ’luntaibaixing’ is the superior breed (new S-SV-PA-017-2009) in the origin territory of luntai, Xinjiang province. As it has been allowed to the geographical indication protection, it is the main opening apricot cultivar with more than1,000years of cultivation history. Through monitoring opening angle are of main branch inside A. vulgaris ’luntaibaixing’ canopy, such as15°、30°、45°nd60°, use equal volume crown three-dimensional space separate method, make use of LAI-2000canopy analyzer which was produced by LI-COR Company in the USA,study measured canopy leaf area index, light transmittance of the seasonal variation and production characteristics. The main results showed:Leaf area index in each opening angle of main branch inside A. vulgaris ’luntaibaixing’ canopy decreases with the seasons, fruit period and hard nuclear period appear growth peak, maturity stage to be more stable. Leaf area index to opening angle of main branch for15°、30°nd45°of each layer have no obvious difference,60°for the main branch opening angle of the A. vulgaris’luntaibaixing’ than other tree has an extremely significant difference, and the middle light intercepted area increased, inside canopy crown middle>upper>lower, bore>central>peripheral. The biggest leaf area index appeared in the canopy height1.50-2.50m, the distance from the tree0.25-1.25m in the east and0.25~1.00m in the west place, and distance from main up an extension cord is0.50m in North-south direction.The distribution of light transmittance is different in different opening angle of main branch canopy, light distribution inside opening angle is15°of main branch canopy is even, overall light transmittance are the lowest, invalid zone of its canopy volume ratio is86.67%, it decreases with the main branch’s opening angle, invalid zone of its canopy volume ratio reduce gradually,60°f the main branch opening angle for light area of more than85.61%. Light transmittance inside canopy crown upper>lower>middle, peripheral>central>bore, in which each opening angle of main branch inside A. vulgaris ’luntaibaixing’canopy reduce with the seasons, maturity stage to be more stable, the light transmittance of the overall canopy is under the73.06%, invalid zone of its canopy volume ratio to29.27%. Minimum light transmittance appeared in the crown height2.00-3.00m distance backbone1.00~1.50m place.In the crown of the corresponding place transmittance and the accumulation of the leaf area index were very significant negative power index, accord with Beer-Lambert’s law, the extinction coefficient decreases with the main branch’s opening angle. The typical sample strains of60°of the main branch opening angle within the canopy extinction coefficient from up to down after the first reduce increase, the corresponding is0.7682,0.7626and0.8219, external middle bore in the canopy of extinction coefficient is0.7823,0.7855and0.7592, since the outside in first increases, then decreases in the canopy.Yield per plant and the per decreases with the main branch’s opening angle,60°of the main branch opening angle of the tree yield per plant and the per are significant higher than15°,30°,45°main branch opening angle of the tree, and it is the A. vulgaris ’luntaibaixing’ optimal tree.
