Hammer is an important working parts of the feed mill, the wear passivation not on ly increase the consumption of steel but also reduces the grinding efficiency and qualit y of the feed, therefore, it is necessary to study the strengthening process of the hammer. Blindly to improve the problems of the traditional strengthening process of the overall hardness of the hammer, the group proposed the self-sharpening to strengthen the proces s and a feasibility analysis and experimental verification. In this paper, the traditional sel f-sharpening process to strengthen the theoretical basis of vague, ill-defined and simple t o infiltration depth indicators to formulate the heat treatment process, combined with th ewear mechanism of the hammer and hammer sharpening principle, carburizing the mat hematical model and theories and methods of computer-aided carbon potential temperat ure control system to improve the traditional carburizing. Thus, using the reverse method of formulating the carburizing process and improved anti-wear performance compared se1f-sharpening hammer on the market commonly used in the other three hammer, the fol lowing conclusions:We can see by the wear test results in wear resistance compared to ordinary ham mer sharpening hammer has some advantages. Self-sharpening effect of the overall carb urizing hammer and wear resistance and improved process and sharpening hammer consi derable and the process is relatively simple, self-sharpening in practical applications, the overall carburizing hammer replacement The self-sharpening local carburizing hammer.
