Along with the continuous development of the potato industry in our country, the sown area of potatoes expanded, the output of potatoes increased, and the degree of potato harvesting mechanization also improved. However, the vibration question hasn’t been considered during the design of the complete appliance and the key parts of potato diggers, and this not only causes certain questions in material choosing of spare parts and structural designing, but also results in a high rate of damage. Based on that the contradiction between enhancing the separation effect and reducing the damage rate was not well solved and in view of the4SW-170potato digger’s above vibration questions, this thesis carried on a series of tests and researches in lab and in field, studied on the vibration rules and the corresponding parameters, and put forward some improving proposals for digger’s design.(1) Through the comprehensive tests and time domain statistical analysis on4SW-170potato digger, the spots and each spot’s direction with the biggest vibration have been obtained, and the intensity parameters of the machine’s vibration have been determined.(2) This thesis carried on frequency range analysis based on the power spectral density. Also, through extracting the eigen frequency and computing mechanical parts’ transmission frequency, this thesis made theoretical analysis on vibration source of the spots with intense vibration, made coherent analysis on the swinging sieves and various points, carried on single factor vibration experiment in the view of the transmission chain and the rotational speed, and obtained the results that how various factors influence the vibration.(3) Using the advanced wireless acceleration test system to carry on the vibration test in field, we monitored and gathered vibration acceleration signals of the crossbeam and the engine case. Then, we did the contrastive analysis on these data and the data obtained in lab, and concluded that, accompanied with differential loading, the machine’s vibrational energy differed from one working band to another under the two different operating modes.(4) This thesis used the points’acceleration signal to carry on natural frequency recognition of the crossbeam and the side bar, and used ANSYS to make the modal analysis of the elevating axis and the engine case. The possible resonating spot was obtained by contrasting the machine’s transmission frequency at the rated speed (540 r/min), and the design of the machine may be improved in accordance with this.
