The Study Of Tree Species For Urban Forest In The Main City Of Pan Zhihua

As a main subject of ecological construction, forestry plays a vital role to the construction of ecological civilization. Since urban forest is one of the significant components of urban ecosystem, the construction of urban forest has been an important guide for the development of modern forestry. In this study, AHP modeling method was applied to screen out the ideal tree species for urban forest construction in Panzhihua. This article uses the AHP Model to study the tree species in the green area of the main city of Pan zhihua, such as avenues, river side and parks. Main results are as follows:(1)Arbour species for the green area of avenues such as Bombax malabaricum is regarded as the most suitable tree for avenues. There are also other species with high evaluation such as Delonix regia, Broussonetia papyrifera, Caryota urens, Albizia julibrissin, Platanus acerifolia, Celtis sinensis, Ficus benjamina, Pistacia chinensis, Mangifera indica, Ulmus pumila, Ficus virens var. sublanceolata and so on. On the other hand, there are some other species with low evaluation, such as Eucalyptus terericornis, Michelia champaca, Persea Americana, Cinnamomum bodinieri, Toona ciliate and so on.Among the bush species, Bougainvillea spectabilis is the most appropriate species and there are others such as Punica granatum, Hibiscus tiliaceus, Lantana camara, Pyristegia venusta, Pittosoorum tobira and Murraya exotica which also received a high evaluation. However, species such as Cotinus coggygria var. cinerea, Excoecaria cochinchinensis and Dalbergia assamica are relatively not suitable since they have relatively low evaluation.(2)Arbour species for green area of river side such as Mangifera indica is the most appropriate species. Also some other species such as Bombax malabaricum, Sapium sebiferum, Syzygium jambos, Pistacia chinensis, Celtis sinensis, Broussonetia papyrifera, Melaleuca leucadendron, Platanus acerifolia and Salix babylonica received relatively high evaluation. However, there are relatively low evaluations of species such as Michelia alba, Magnoia liliflora, Mangifera persiciformis, Caryota ochlandra, Michelia champaca, Cinnamomum bodinieri and Ficus microcarpa var. crassifolia.Among the bush species, Hibiscus tiliaceus is the most appropriate species, and others like Pittosporum tobira, Gendarussa vulgaris, Punica granatum, Bougainvillea spectabilis, Cuphea hookeriana, Campsis grandiflora and Jatropha curcas are also recommended. But Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, Euphorbia pulcherrima, Lagenstroemia indica, Jasminum nudiflorum and Excoecaria cochinchinensis are not recommended since they received relatively low evaluations.(3)Arbour species for the green area of parks, the Albizia julibrissin is recommended and some other species such as Broussonetia papyrifera, Platanus acerifolia, Delonix regia, Bombax malabaricum, Trachycarpus fortunei, Ficus virens var. sublanceolata, Caryota urens, Ficus auriculata, Celtis sinensis, Ficus microcarpa ’Golden Leaves’ and Pistacia chinensis, are also suitable candidates. But Michelia champaca, Eucalyptus tereticornis, Cinnamomum bodinieri, Syagrus romanzoffiana, Persea Americana and Toona ciliate are not recommended.Among the bush species, Lantana camara is the most suitable and others like Thevetia peruviana, Pyrostegia venusta, Murraya exotica, Hibiscus tiliaceus, Nerium indicum, Pittosporum tobira, Bougainvillea spectabilis, Campsis grandiflora, Jatropha curcas, Cuphea hookeriana, Gendarussa vulgaris, Sophora japonica var. japonica f. pendula, Duranta repens cv.’Variegata’ are recommended as well. But there are some species which are not so popular such as Cotimus coggygria var. cinerea, Excoecaria cochinchinensis and Dalbergia assamica.In conclusion, the different categories of greening area suits different kinds of arbour and bush trees in Panzhihua. The resources of tree species are the fundamental consideration when choosing the most suitable place for growth. During construction, it is necessary to take into consideration that different species suit different categories of greening areas in the urban city. The study results of this article have a significant reference value to Panzhihua city and others such as climate, soil and hydrothermal conditions.
