Ooccurrence And Damage Of Alternanthera Philoxeroides Griseb In River Channel Of Huaibei City And The Counter Measures

The distribution and damage of alligator weed (Alternanthera philoxeroides Griseb) in the river channel of Huaibei city were investigated in this paper. In order to screen high-effective medicaments, the field efficacies against alligator weed were made on seriously damaged river area. We established comprehensive system suitable to control alligator weed in the river channel so as to provide the scientific basis for control of alligator weed. The main results were as follows:1. The coverage rate of A. philoxeroides tended to be increased from Ⅰ to Ⅴ grade level. The occurrence and damage of A. philoxeroides were very serious in the Dai river of Huaibei region, in which coverage rate Ⅴ reached28%and the above Ⅱ reach92%. It were relatively serious in the Long river, in which coverage rate V reached24%and the above Ⅱ reached90%.2.20%Fluroxypyr EC:The field trial of the20%Fluroxypyr65ml per667m2which was mixed with50-60kg water against A. philoxeroides was conducted.30days after Fluroxypyr treatment applied, the control efficacy were100%for individual plant and100%for fresh weight.20%Metsulfuron-methyl WP:The field trial of the20%Metsulfuron-methyl40g per667m2which was mixed with50-60kg water against A. philoxeroides was conducted.30days after Metsulfuron-methyl treatment applied, the control efficacy were100%for individual plant and100%for fresh weight.41%Fluroxypyr AS:The field trial of the41%Fluroxypyr65ml per667m2which was mixed with50-60kg water against A. philoxeroides was conducted.10days after Fluroxypyr treatment applied, the control efficacy were100%for individual plant and100%for fresh weight.3. The comprehensive prevention and control technical measures with the main technical measure of the plant quarantine, artificial and biology control, and the auxiliary measures of the chemical control, and regulate the river to strictly control the discharge of pollutants to the channel were conducted.
