Soil animal community structure and diversity have different performance in differenttypes of habitats, which reflect the response of soil animals for habitat types. Corn andsoybean are the main crops in Jilin Province, in order to understand the communitystructure and the effects of pesticides on of soil macro-invertebrate in the corn fields andsoybean field, provide a scientific basis for the protection of corn and soybean fields of soilbiodiversity and the maintenance of ecosystem stability. Surveys of soil macro-invertebratewere conducted in16locations of Jilin Province. The main results are follows:A total of1138individuals of soil macro-invertebrate were collected, belonging to26taxa in6classes under3phyla, from soybean field, corn field, and wasteland. Thedominant groups were Microdrile oligochaetes, Coleoptera larvae, Hymenoptera andGeophilomorpha, had the individuals accounting for57.30%of the total, and theindividuals of the ordinary groups Araneae, Lithobiomorpha, Collembola, Orthoptera,Psocoptera, Coleoptera adult, and Diptera larvae occupied38.66%of the total. Acomparative study was made on the community structure of soil macro-invertebrates incorn field, soybean field and wasteland. The results showed that the group number washigher in wasteland than corn and soybean field. The most densities were found in thesoybean field. The number of dominant and common groups in wasteland topsoil (16) washigher than14categories in corn field,8categories in soybean field. The diversity of soilmacro-invertebrate assemblages was much higher in wasteland, based on the comparsionsof Shannon-Wiener diversity index, Pielou eveness index, and Simpson dominance index. These results suggest that soil environmental conditions than the application of pesticidesapplied pesticides farmland table farmland topsoil to adapt to the soil fauna.
