Hibiscus sabdariffa (H ibi scus sabdari f f a L.) was a kind of medicinal plant which set for the medicinal and pigment use. Hibiscus sabdariffa early-maturing variety、mid-maturing variety、late-maturing variety were investigated in this experiment, adopted the field cultivation experiment, analysed diffident kind of Hibiscus sabdariffa growth、chlorophyll content、chlorophyll fluorescence parameters、Malondialdehyde (MDA) content、Superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity、Catalase (CAT) activities、Peroxidase (POD) activity、Soluble sugar content、Soluble protein content and Plasma Membrane Permeability physiological and biochemical characteristics of Hibiscus sabdariffa phase change, the results were used for realizing Biological characteristics differences of different varities, thus for Hibiscus sabdariffa planting scientificly and reasonably and setting the seal on theoretical basis and technical support for the devellopent of Hibiscus sabdariffa industry.The main results were as follows:1. In different kinds of testing months, the diffident kinds of Hibiscus sabdariffa reflected diffident change rule in high growth and ground diameter growth.For high growth, the same kind in diffident month, it took a maximum effect,while different kind in the same month,it took little effect. For ground diameter growth, same variety in different testing months, compared mid-maturing variety, Hibiscus sabdariffa early-maturing variety and late-maturing variety took a maximum effect,while different kinds in the same month, the whole three varieties took little effect in July and August;in September, compared early-maturing variety and mid-maturing variety, late-maturing variety took a maximum effect, the three varieties took a vary maximum effect in October.2. In different kinds of testing months, the diffident kinds of Hibiscus sabdariffa reflected diffident change rule in chlorophyll content. For the same variety in different testing months, the general trend of chlorophyll a、chlorophyll b and chlorophyll (a+b) reflected decreased-increased-decreased, even the three varieties had no differences in the different testing months; For different kinds in the same month, in July、August and October, chlorophyll a、chlorophyll b and chlorophyll (a+b) of the three varieties took little effect, in September, compared early-maturing variety and late-maturing variety, chlorophyll a、chlorophyll b and chlorophyll (a+b) of the mid-maturing variety took a vary maximum effect.3. In different kinds of testing months, the diffident kinds of Hibiscus sabdariffa reflected diffident change rule in chlorophyll fluorescence parameters. For the same variety in different testing months, the Fv/FO and Fv/Fm of the early-maturing variety was the lowest value, after that increased stably; the Fv/FO and Fv/Fm of mid-maturing variety and late-maturing variety increased slowly as month gone on; For different kinds in the same month, the three varieties all had a little differences.4. For the MDA of different varieties, the same variety in different testing months, the MDA of early-maturing variety and mid-maturing variety increased gradually as the month gone on, while lately-maturing variety had a maximum value in August, after that decreased gradually. Analysis of variance showed that the testing month took a maximum effect on MDA of mid-maturing variety and lately-maturing variety. For different kinds in the same month, the MDA of three varieties had no differences; the MDA of lately-maturing variety obviously higher than early-maturing variety and mid-maturing; until September and October, the MDA of mid-maturing variety begun to increase.5. For the SOD of different varieties, the SOD of early-maturing variety^mid-maturing variety and lately-maturing variety increased stably, while the testing month took a very maximum effect on SOD; for different varieties, they were had no differences in four testing month, only in October, it took a very maximum effect on SOD.6. For the CAT of different varieties, the CAT increased gradually as the month gone on, the CAT of early-maturing variety and mid-maturing variety increased quickly in August, while lately-maturing variety slowly, the testing month took a very maximum effect on CAT; for different varieties, it took a very maximum effect on CAT in July.7. With the test of month change,the POD of early-maturing variety、 mid-maturing variety and late-maturing variety are showing the increase trend, the POD’s activity of late-maturing variety took a very maximum effect,but the mid-maturing variety took maximum effect;For the differernt kinds of variety of the same test month,the POD’s activity of early-maturing variety is higher than the late-maturing variety’s in July and August,the POD’s activity of late-maturing variety is higher than early-maturing variety’s in September and October.8. For the difference of Soluble sugar content of different kinds of Hibiscus sabdariffa,the increase trend of the Soluble sugar content of early-maturing variety、 mid-maturing variety and late-maturing variety is consistent,that is it increase rapidly in August and increase constantly after that,and the Soluble sugar content of the three variety took a very maximum effect in the test month;For the different kind of variety of the same test month, the Soluble sugar content of mid-maturing variety is Obviously higher than the early-maturing variety’s and late-maturing variety’s,but the the early-maturing variety’s and late-maturing variety’s are not significant.9. The Soluble protein content of the different Hibiscus sabdariffa variety has the different change trend, For the different test month of the same variety, the Soluble protein content increase rapidly in August, then increase constantly,and the Soluble protein content of early-maturing variety、mid-maturing variety and late-maturing variety took a very maximum effect;For the different kinds of variety of the same test month,the difference of Soluble protein content of early-maturing variety、 mid-maturing variety and late-maturing variety is little,and the Soluble protein content of four months took a little effect for variety.10. In the whole growth period,with the test month pass,the Plasma Membrane Permeability of the different variety shows increase trend. The Plasma Membrane Permeability of different variety of the same test month took a little effect;For the difference of the same variety of different test month, in July to September period,the increase range of the Plasma Membrane Permeability of late-maturing variety is higher than early-maturing variety’s and mid-maturing variety’s.
