Abstract/Summary:
Very little research focus has been placed on roselle hibiscus leaves even though they have been widely consumed by diverse groups of ethnic population. This research was conducted to (i) evaluate the effects of fertilizer treatments on the nutrient elements of the Senegal-origin roselle hibiscus leaves, (ii) quantify the distribution of nutrient elements on leaves located at top portion and lower portion of the 12-inch shoot and (iii) determine the total polyphenol and antioxidant contents of the leaves as affected by the fertilizer treatments.
