Population genetic diversity, gene exchange and genetic differentiation of Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner) over different regions were analyzed by RAPD and SSR marker. UPGMA method was used to perform clustering analysis of populations based on genetic distance. The main findings were shown as follow:1.Improved feed compounding of cotton bollworm based on traditional method, made the process of feeding bollworm simplified, more efficient, to ensure that the subsequent experiment go on wheels.2.Population genetic diversity of cotton bollworm from Kashgar, Turpan, Shanshan and Shihezi, were analyzed by15RAPD primers. We detected314sites using15primers, and69%of them are polymorphic sites. Compared to the other three populations, Nei’s gene diversity (h) and Shannon’s index (I) of Shanshan population was the highest (h=0.4046, I=0.793). The range of Nei’s genetic distance over4different geographical species between0.1927to0.3727. It’s demonstrated that the genetic relationship of4different geographical species was close. The analysis of the genetic differentiation and gene flow displayed that there was frequently gene flow among populations.3.Genetic diversity of cotton bollworm on different geographical populations that fed on4host plant were analyzed by20RAPD primers. There were7geographical populations cotton bollworm that fed on corn.6geographical populations that fed on tomato.5geographical populations that fed on pumpkin, and3geographical populations that fed on cotton. The genetic diversity indexes of Shanshan populations that fed on corn has the largest value (I=0.5631). Genetic diversity indexes of Shanshan populations that fed on tomato also has the largest valued=0.5825). Genetic diversity indexes of Shanshan populations that fed on pumpkin still had the largest value (I=0.5684). The range of genetic distance between0.1177to0.4105among each geographical populations that fed on corn;0.2010to0.3823on tomato;0.2038to0.4114on pumpkin; and0.1407to0.2874on cotton. Gene flow index suggested that there was strong gene flow between these populations geographical populations fed on cotton (Nm=2.2514)4.10SSR primers were used for further analysis on genetic diversity of different cotton bollworm geographical populations. Genetic diversity index of Urumuqi population that fed on corn and tomato, has the largest value (I=0.3755;I=0.4291). Among the geographical populations that fed on pumpkin, both Changji and Shanshan populations have the the largest value (1=0.3466). Genetic diversity index of Urumuqi population that fed on cotton has the largest value (1=0.5041). The range of genetic distance between0.2083to0.6678among each geographical populations that fed on corn;0.1818to0.9147on tomato;0.2162to0.6040on pumpkin; and0.4336to0.4848on cotton. Gene flow index suggested that there was most frequently genetic exchange these geographical populations that fed on cotton.
