In order to study the difference in physiological and biochemical response under exogenous abscisic acid (ABA) and low temperature acclimation, four bermudagrass select as materials in this experiment, which two materials is sensitive to cold, including Cynodon dactylon (L.) pers cv. Common, C. dactylon (L.) pers cv. coastal)and the other is cold resistance, including C. dactylon (L.) pers cv.XinnongNo.l, C. dactylon (L.) pers cv. Kashi). The results showed that:(1) In aspect of the result of the physiological and biochemical index under spraying exogenous ABA, compared with CK under low temperature, Spraying exogenous ABA can significantly reduce the conductivity of bermudagrass, the suitable concentration of spray ABA for cold resistance materials is15mg/L, but for cold sensitive materials is5mg/L.(2) When spraying ABA in rightness concentration under low temperature, the accumulation of proline also exist difference between the cold resistance materials and cold-sensitive materials, and proline of the cold resistance materials is higher than that of the cold-sensitive materials. Compared with CK under normal temperature, the proline content of cold resistance bermudagrass increased by5-8times, and the cold sensitive bermudagrass only increased by2-3times.(3) Under spraying ABA in rightness concentration under low temperature, the SOD activity of cold resistance bermudagrass is higher than that of the cold sensitive bermudagrass. Compared with CK under low temperature, the SOD activity of Common bermudagrass and Coastal bermudagrass respectively improved by66%,62%, while that of Xinnong No.1bermudagrass and. Kashi bermudagrass respectively improved by98%,76%.(4) The soluble sugar content of bermudagrass keep a continued increase trend under cold acclimation, and compared with cold sensitive bermudagrass, the cold resistance bermudagrass can accumulate more soluble sugar. Compared with CK under normal temperature in the21st day, the soluble sugar content of Xinnong No.1bermudagrass and Kashi bermudagrass increased by7.66and7.06times respectively, and that of Common bermudagrass and Coastal bermudagrass increased by5.03and5.98times respectively.(5) Compared with CK under normal temperature, the proline content of four bermudagrass is increased, but the cold resistance materials can accumulate more proline than the coldsensitive materials under cold acclimation. The proline content of Xinnong No.1bermudagrass and Kashi bermudagrass is35.64ug/g and56.66ug/g, while that of Xinnong No.l bermudagrass and Kashi bermudagrass is35.69ug/g and34.59ug/g in the21st day under cold acclimation.(6) By synthetical compared with the physiological and biochemical responses of4bermudagrass materials under cold acclimation and spraying exogenous ABA, the level of proline accumulation is closely related to cold resistance, selecting bermudagrass material with strong ability of proline accumulation which can help to select cold resistance variety of Bermudagrass.
