This study was carried out in the Scientific and Educational park ofHenan Agricultural University in2011.Pot and field experiment were employed tostudy on premature senescence and yield improvement mechanisms of maize bychemical regulation by using to different types of senescence maize varieties:zheng-dan958(normal senescence variety) and yudan2002(anti-senescencevariety).we used5different plant growth compound regulators by treatment of seed dressing and largebell period tetrad spraying.The main results are as follows:1. Effects of different plant growth compound regulators on maize yieldAll of5kinds of plant growth compound regulators can improve the yield andear characters of maize on different degree. Treatment A had a best effect onincreasing production, making yield of Zhengdan958and Yudan2002raised6.13%and9.71%in comparison with CK.2. Effects of different plant growth compound regulators on dry matter of maizeaccumulationDifferent5plant growth compound regulators can increase the matter of leaf、leaf sheath、 root and stem on the fertility medium-term, improve the organ drymatter accumulation to the rate of transport of the grain at late growth stage, in orderto provide adequate nutrients for maize grain filling.Treatment on the yudan2002isbetter than zhengdan-958and all the treatments A is the best.3. Effects of different plant growth compound regulators on maize leavessenescenceAll of5different plant growth compound regulators can improve the area ofleaves,chlorophyll content and reduce the MDA content, slowing its growth rate atlate growth period,delay the rate of maize leaves senescence. At the same time, all ofthe treatments enhanced the antioxidant protection system making the leaves SODand CAT at a high level long-term, lower leaf conductivity, increase soluble proteincontent of maize leaf cells that can keep the cell membrane integrity, and prolong thefunctional period of leaf. The best effect in treatments is A, D times. 4. Effects of different plant growth compound regulators on maize rootssenescenceDifferent5plant growth compound regulators can enhance roots antioxidantprotection system and the content of soluble protein, reduce MDA content of rootsand the damage degree of roots, increase the ability of anti-senescencein roots. Andincrease dry weight of roots, making the roots have high activity at late growth period.The best effect in treatments is A, D times.5. Effects of different plant growth compound regulators on chemicalcomposition of maize stalkDifferent5plant growth compound regulators can increase the content of starch、cellulose and soluble sugar in maize stalk and the strength of stalk, accelerate theconversion rate between soluble starch and soluble sugar in maize stalk and enhancedthe storage of photosynthetic products and transport of maize. The treatment also canimprove the anti-senescencein of maize that have adequate nutrition matter at fillingstage,in order to provided a guarantee for the improvement of maize yield.Treatmentof A has the most obvious regulation effect on the chemical composition of maizestalk.
