Transgenic Bt insect-resistant rice was taken as the experimental feeding material, and non-genetically modified rice as control. Then, we fed Kunming mouse with the diets for30days,90days and then took them for the following experiment. Therefore, the detoxification mechanism of transgenic Bt rice, apoptosis and immune regulation on rats could be revealed, which provides a valuable proof of genetically modified foods to mammals’ safety evaluation.ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent technology) was used to determin the detoxifying enzymes enzyme of serum, and its activity between groups had no significant change with Cryl Ab protein eating time extension.In these serum biochemical indicators, UREA, TG, AST, ALP and ALT contents of the30-day treated group were significantly higher than that of control group (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference between two groups of90-day; the haematological indicator results had no significant difference.By Flow cytometry (FCM), we found no obvious changes of apoptosis and calcium currents in blood lymphocytes of these groups.After mouse body anatomised, the organ lesions, organ indexs and four detoxification enzyme activity of relavant organs were determined, only SOD activity of90-day mice renal was found significant differences compared to the control (p <0.05), but the others didn’t.Our study shows that:Cryl Ab transgenic rice has too little Bt protein to stimulate the detoxification mechanism of metabolic enzyme in blood, and can’t lead to significant apoptosis and calcium currents changes in blood lymphocytes. Altough Bt rice had a little impact on rats’ immune organ at30th day, rats normalized at90th day and eased effects of Bt rice on its immune and nervous system with the metabolic enzyme regulation in its body. However, the alleviation mechanism still remains to further study.
