| This experiment was conducted to study the effect of growth restriction and realimentation on the activities of hepatic enzymes and hormones in growing wethers. Forty growing wethers (average body weight14.72kg) were selected and divided into2groups. The feeding trial lasted150days includes60d of growth restriction and90d of realimentation. The nutrition level of the diet in growth restriction period (1-60d) were ME:8.62MJ/kg, CP:5.7%for restricted group (RG) and ME:10.88MJ/kg, CP:15%for control group (CG). All growing wethers were offered the same diet (ME:9.75MJ/kg; CP:12%) during nutrition realimentation period (60-150d). The experimental results were showed as follow:(1) The activity of key enzyme in the glycolysis and protein synthesize were decreased, and the activity of key enzyme on gluconeogenesis and lipolysis were increased at the end of growth restriction period (60d). At the end of realimentation period (90d), the activity of key enzyme on glycolysis, gluconeogenesis and lipid metabolism were basically recovered to normal level.(2) At the end of growth restriction period (60d), the GLU concentration of growing wethers was significant higher than CG, the NEFA and BUN concentration of growing wethers in RG was significant higher than CG, the GH of the growing wethers in RG was significant higher than CG (P<0.05), the INS and IGF-1concentration of growing wethers in RG was significant lower than CG. However, all of this were basically recovered to normal level at the end of realimentation period (90d). |
