The total RNA of Avian reovirus(ARV) isolated in inner Mongolia and Tianjin was extracted.According to the published L2gene sequence of avian reovirus strain176in GenBank,five pairs of primer were designed. The L2gene of virus were amplificated by RT-PCR and then cloned into pEASY-T1plasmids and then sequenced. The result showed that each of the acquired sequences L2gene were3830bp including a whole open reading frame (ORF15-3794bp). The accession numbers of ARV C-98、T-98was JN641888、JN641889, respectively in GenBank.There were high homology in nucleotide sequences and the deduced amino acids sequence of L2gene between ARV C-98and ARV T-98,99.7%and99.4%respectively;Compared with ARV176、ARV S1133、ARV138and ARV AVS-B, the homologies of the nucleotide sequence of L2gene ranged from83.9%to99.7%and the deduced amino acids sequences ranged from96.4%to99.6%;Compared with MRV BYD1、MRV SC-A、MRV T3D and MRV T4N, the homologies of the nucleotide sequence of L1gene ranged from53.4%to54.4%and the deduced amino acids sequences ranged from53.9%to54.4%;Results of phylogenetic tress indicated that ARV C-98、ARV T-98and ARV176、ARV S1133、ARV138、ARV AVS-B at the same evolutionary branch, and were close distant from ARV176、ARV S1133;ARV C-98、 ARV T-98and MRV BYD1、MRV SC-A、MRV T3D、MRV T4N at the different evolutionary branch.
