The drought experiments by using PEG6000solution were carried out to studydifferent response of96wheat genotypes to drought stress. The germination potentiality, germination rate, germination index, plant height, leaf number, Shoot dry weight,Shootmoisture content, main root length, root number, root dry weight, root moisture content,root/shoot ratio, proline content, soluble sugar content, chlorophyll content and PODactivity were tested and analyzed the drought stress influence of different wheat varietiesin the germination period and germination.stage. The drought experiments by dry shedwere carried out to analyze the drought stress influence of yield by testing Plant height,Ear length, Ears per plant, Small ears, Ear wrains per plant,1000-grain W. and Yield perplant. The grey related degree analysis was employed for evaluation of different varietiesof wheat drought resistance and screening preliminarily. Variety of molecular geneticbasis of drought resistance was identified by SSR immediately. The main results in thisstudy are listed as follows:1.The period of drought resistance of96wheat genotypes was different and thetraits of drought resistance of one wheat genotype was different completely. Fumai2008,Yannong19, Hengguan35, Jining16had high level germination potentiality, germinatio nrate and germination speed in drought condition. Yanzhan4110, Guozi25, Jinghe5,Gushen6, Bainongaikang58, Wozhong018, Nanyang996had strong drought resistance inseedling growth period. Fenghua8903, Yuanfeng1982, Gushen6, L103-1, Lu21, Sumai3,Yannong19, Taiyu976had strong drought resistance in yield.2. Yanzhan4110, Guozi25, Jinghe5, Bainongaikang58, Yunong049, Jining16,Yannong19, Gushen8, Hengguan35, Xinmai19, Nanyang996had the best droughtresistance by using grey related degree and comprehensive stress coefficient method.3. Using clustering analysis, with the stress coefficient for phenotypes index, theresults showed that the varieties were divided into seven groups. The results and varietiesof drought resistance performance were identical. The varieties inⅠ, Ⅱand Ⅲgroups had better drought resistance in each period. The varieties in Ⅳ group had poordrought resistance. The varieties inⅤ group showed better drought resistance in field. The varieties in Ⅵ group showed better drought resistance in germination and seedings. The varieties in Ⅶ group showed medium drought resistance.4. The clustering results based on SSR and apparent index were more similar. Guozi 25and Bainongaikang58all showed high genetic difference no matter in the phenotypeidentification and molecular appraisal.
