In recent years, with the concept of ecological city, people pay more and more attention to the construction of residential environment. Especially in the planning and designing of big cities, people pay more attention to construction of the ecological environment. Urban landscape waters are important components of water resources in the city which play a decisive role in the construction of urban ecological environment and link to good health of urban residents and the spiritual life of high quality. And aquatic plants as the backbone plant materials in landscaping are widely used in city landscape water bodies. This article screened aquatic plants species which were suitable growing in the urban landscape water body mainly through tracking survey status quo of aquatic plants in eight typical landscape water bodies of Shanghai. And the paper studied collocation planting, landscaping and maintenance management etc of aquatic plants in the landscape water bodies on the basis of tracking survey, proposed aquatic plant optimization configuration mode in landscape waters of Shanghai, enrich in species diversity and landscape diversity of landscape water bodies and provided reference and basis for further application of aquatic plants. The main results in this paper were as follows:1、Based on field survey of aquatic plants of eight typical landscape waters in Shanghai, the result showed that the landscape waters of Shanghai included31species of aquatic plants, belonging to18families respectively which consisted of17species of Emergent plants,3species of Floating-leaved plants,4species of Free-floating plants and7species of Submerged plants. The frequently used aquatic plants are common species, including calamus (Acorus calamus), reed flowers (Phragmites australlis), willow herb (Spiked loosestrlfe), water lilies (Nymphaea tetragona), hornwort (Ceratophyllum demersum), bitter grass (Vallisneria natans), etc.2, In the survey we found it lacked of application of wild aquatic plants resources in urban landscape water body and ecological value of aquatic plants could not get well, water quality purification ability was poor. The growing depth conditions of main aquatic plants was0.1~2m which was recorded in the survey and it provided a more comprehensive basis for rational application and collocation planting of aquatic plants in landscape water body in the future by studying the suitable water depth ranges of common aquatic plants.3、50kinds of decontamination ability strong aquatic plants species was screened through statistical analysis of common water purification plants and effect of water purification at home and abroad, including common aquatic plants cattail (Typha orientalis), willow, lotus (Zizania latifolia), water lily, Malay pondweed (Potamogeton malaianus), hornwort, fox headand tail algae (Myriophyllum spicatum). etc, which could be applied in urban landscape water bodies.4、Comprehensive assessment of abilities of plants to remove nitrogen and phosphorus in Dianshan lake to sort purification potential strength of all kinds of aquatic plants. Evaluation results showed that ability of water purification was quite strong of the developed root system of Emergent plants and ability of water purification was weak of the underdeveloped root system of floating plants and submerged plants.5、According to the characteristics of the landscape water bodies and landscape design requirements, on the basis of full investigation and study, we used the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to build waterscape evaluation model of Shanghai landscape water bodies, and through recommended15kinds of water aquatic landscape plant configuration modes by analyzing plant configuration modes of the eight landscape waters in Shanghai.
