The Red-ear slider (Trachemys scripta elegans) turtle species, is probably the most widespread reptile species worldwide and the most popular turtle in the pet trade all over the world because of their small size and ability to adapt to various habitats. In China the sale of this species as a pet is increasing therefore customer taking their pet to the veterinary hospital is higher and some Veterinarians don’t have to much knowledge about this species. This study aims to determine the dimension of the kidneys using ultrasound and Determine the normal ranges of the urinalysis of the Red-ear slider turtle. The results shows that The body proportion of the Red-ear slider female is more big, so the kidneys dimensions will be relatively higher than the Male doing the ultrasound and the postmortem. And In both cases, The ultrasound and The postmortem examination, will demonstrate that the Length is always greater than the width, and the dimensions of the left kidney and right kidney establish correlation. Urinalysis results prove that it can be used as a valuable information of renal, hepatic and other disease.
