Meta‐analysis Of Premature Ovarian Failure Treated Combined Chinese And Western Medicines

Objective: To systemic evaluate the effects of combined Chinese and western medicine totreat the premature ovarian failure (POF).Methods: A search for relevant articles was run on WanFang、 China NationalKnowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)，and Chongqing VIP Database、Pubmed、EMCC、OVID、and Cochrane library from1999to July2011；meanwhile, CALIS、CDDB、CDMD were alsosearchedy. Randomized controlled trails of treating POF in HRT compared with hormone toevaluate the curative effects treated POF with combined Chinese and western medicinetherapy. The Revman5.0software was used for Meta-analysis according to Cochrane systemevaluation method.Results:8randomized controlled trails involving562patients were included.Meta-analysis showed that: combined OR=3.45,95%CI was [0.86and5.17], the combinedeffect test Z=1.26(P<0.00001).Conclusion: The therapy integrated Chinese and Western medicine for POF is better thanhormone therapy alone,and premature ovarian failure in patients with serum hormone levelsand clinical symptoms are improved in the role of，but the strict randomization，blinding andfollow up of the literatures are not enough, especially in little follow-up reports and thehigh-quality literature, which suggests that the methods of clinical researches need to beimproved and enhanced in the future.
