The Clinical Basic Research Of The Reconstruction Of Medial Malleolus With The Ipsilateral Iliac Wing

objective To study whether is the ipsilateral iliac wing be suitable to reconstruct thecoloboma of the medial malleolus and how to reconstruct the medial malleolus MethodsThe20cases of human body freeze the tibias, fibulas and ilium were matched according tothe same side. According to the vertical arc length of the medial malleolus, to select thehorizontal arc length of the iliums in the front,middle and back section of the iliac crestrespectively. And to measure the horizontal string length of the iliac chunks that we hadselected respectively.And then,to compare the string length of the iliums with the stringlength of the medial malleolus.In the same way, according to the horizontal arc length of themedial malleolus,to select the vertical arc length of the iliums in the front,middle and backsection of the iliac crest respectively. Then,to measure the vertical string length of the iliacchunk that we had selected respectively. And then,to compare the string length of the iliumswith the string length of the medial malleolus. Afterwards,to measure the thickness of theiliac chunks that we had selected respectively,to compare the thickness of the iliums with thethickness of the medial malleolus. the measurement results were computed by excel statisticaldata and were tested by t test. Medial malleolus defect were reconstructed with iliac flap inthree cases.Results The horizontal string length of the front,middle and back section in theiliums respectively was similar to the vertical string length of the medial malleolus. Thevertical string length of the front,middle and back section in the iliums respectively wassimilar to the horizontal string length of the medial malleolus The thickness of the iliac frontwas similar to the thickness of the medial malleolus. The thickness of the iliac front and backwas thicker than the medial malleolus,s all. the ankle function of the3patients was recoveredwell.Conclusion It can be used for reconstruction of medial malleolus coloboma with theiliac crest in their front,middle,back part all.The front part was should be selected firstly. Thisstudy has certain clinical significance, but less clinical data, still need the steady accumulationof clinical practice.
