Objective To explore the characteristics of coronary artery disease and risk factorsin patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI) between Han and Tibetannationality in Qinghai Province. Methods174patients who were diagnosed as AMI atAffiliated Hospital of Qinghai University from December2009to December2011was analyzed, including98Han and76Tibetan nationality. Clinical data werecollected including history of hypertension, diabetes, abnormal blood lipids, obesityand smoking. Among those patients,146had undergone coronary angiography,including87Han and59Tibetan nationality. The Characteristics of the coronary arterydisease was compared between the two groups. Results174patients were involved inthe result analysis.(1)There were no significant differences noted in hypertension, diabetes mellitus, smoking, and obesity between Tibetan patients and Han patients(P>0.05),but the number of Tibetan patients with abnormal blood lipids was obviouslyless than that of Han nationality(P<0.05).(2) The TG levels in Tibetan patients withAMI are lower than Han patient (P<0.05),but the HDL-C levels in AMI Tibetanpatients are higher(P<0.05).However there is no significant difference in TC、LDL-Clevels between the two groups(P>0.05).(3) Fibrinogen level was higher in Tibetanpatients than Han patients(P<0.05).(4) There was more single vessel disease inTibetan patients, and the left anterior descending coronary artery was the mostcommonly involved, which was no obvious difference between the two groups.(5)According the coronary angiography, the number of diseased blood vessels between Han and Tibetan AMI patients were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion TheTibetan patient with AMI has some distinct characteristics, including low TG levels, high HDL-C levels and fibrinogen level, According the coronary angiography, thenumber of the diseased blood vessels between Han and Tibetan number AMI patientswere statistically significant(P<0.05).
