ObjectiveTo analyze the status, characteristics and influencing factors of the current risk events and to explore the relationship between the nursing risk events and occupational stress, so as to promote hospital managers and nurses correctly identify the risk factors of nursing occupation and enhance their risk consciousness,in order to provide a theoretical basis for hospital managers to develop nursing risk measures and creat a safe woking environment for nurses, in further as to provide a safe medical environment for patients. At the same time, the purpose of this study was attract more scholars and experts to concerned about this field and work together to promote the development of nursing risk events.MethodsCluster method was used to select1400nurses from clinical departments and auxiliary departments, which1304female nurses were questionaired by basic situation, nursing risk events and occupational stress situation. SPSS13.0statistics software was used to analyze data. Scores of various dimensions of occupational stress were described by mean±standard deviation. The differences between qualitative data were tested by chi-squared test. The differences between quantitative data were analysed by analysis of variance or T test. The relationship between nursing risk events and occupational stress were analyzed by Logistic regression. The level of significance was0.05.Results40.9%nurses suffered nursing risk events. The lower age groups, short service age, unmarried, those whose personal monthly income were more than3000yuan, those who were on duty three times or more at night and the unofficial nurse, had higher nursing risk event rate(P<0.05).Those who feel satisfied about work and life, recognized by colleagues, have not stressful event in one year, those who feel valued about the nurse occupation and hadn’t resign intention, had lower nursing risk event rate(P<0.05). There was significant correlation between occupational stress and nursing risk. Compared with nurses who hadn’t nursing risk events, nurses who had nursing risk events got higher scores in the questionnaire of occupational tasks and individual stress response (P<0.05),but had lower scores in the individual response to the resource (P<0.05).ConclusionsNurse’s nursing risk had significant demographic characteristics. The characteristics and self evaluation of work and life also greatly affected the nurses’ risk.Occupational tasks and stress will increase nurses’nursing risk, while coping resources could alleviate the effect of nursing risk. Hospital managers should pay more attention to the nurses who were young, low seniority, night shift more and deal with fewer resources, and should take preventive measures to prevent nursing risk events from occurring.
