A Comparative Study Of The Overall Level Of Nursing Occupational Risk In A Three Level General Hospital’s Different Departments Of Shanxi Province

Objective:Establish the weight of nursing occupational risk assessment system,and calculate the level of nursing occupational risk in a three level general hospital’s different departments of Shanxi Province,to provide reference for the nursing performance.Methods:Design expert consultation questionnaire based on Li Hong ’s[1] nursing occupational risk assessment tool, Then establish the weight by both expert appraise and analytic hierarchy process. Surgery, internal medicine, special sections for each 5 sections fom a three level general hospital were selected using purposive sampling method.260 nurses in the 15 departments participate the survey. There were two ways to calculate the weight of these departments’ risk scores:one way was using the nursing occupational risk assessment system established by Li et al[1] which had no weight,another way was using the weight established in this sudy.And 34 experts from Shanxi Province were invited to evaluate the nursing occupational risk of these departments, Both of the results will be analyzed on its reliability and validity.Finally,we’ll calculate the level of nursing occupational risk in a three level general hospital’s different departments of Shanxi Province.Results:The first result was established the weight of nursing occupational risk assessment system,3 index was deleted.In addition to chemical hazards’ Cronbach α was the same to original, the rest of the Cronbach α were slightly higher than the original. The correlation coefficient between original evaluation system and expert on the 15 departments’ nursing occupational risk scores was 0.892.The correlation coefficient between the evaluation system with weight and expert was 0.932. The CI value and the CR value of the first and second level indexes established by the analytic hierarchy process were both less than 0.1.The second result was getting the level of nursing occupational risk in a three level general hospital’s different departments of Shanxi Province.And these departments were classified by the level of its risk.Conclusion:The weight of the nursing occupational risk index system can evaluate the departments’ risk more accurately.The level of nursing occupational risk calculated in a three level general hospital’s different departments of Shanxi Province was accurate,scientific and rational.It has practical reference value for nursing performance.
