Objective:To investigate the relationship between Cerebral Watershed Infarction andextracranial and intracranial arterial stenosi. Methods:This study selected56cases of hospitalization and outpatient Departmentof Neurology of our hospital from January2010to December2011are in linewith the1995Fourth National Stroke Conference formulated the diagnosticcriteria of acute cerebral infarction, brain MRI or CTexamination confirmedcerebral watershed infarction, the incidence has a clear responsibility lesions, excluding atrial fibrillation, a history of. All patients with head and neck CTAhead and neck vascular ultrasound to check to assess the intracranial andextracranial vessels to collect clinical data, according to the infarct lesionmorphology, patients were divided into cortical (including cortical former type, cortical type), the subcortical type (including some type of fusion), cerebellum, hybrid, and compare different types of the CWI vascular stenosis, applicationSAS8.O statistical software for statistical analysis.Results:1、In56cases of CWI, there were36cases of IWSI(30cases of PIWIand6cases of CIWI),10cases of CWSI (1case of AWSI and9cases ofPWSI),9cases of MWSI and1case of the cerebellar type.Among varioustypes of CWI,the IWSI was most common. In56cases of the CWI,there were16cases of ICA stenosis,24cases of MCA stenosis,3cases of VBA severestenosis. MCA stenosis was the most common.2、There were72.2%of CWI patients with intracranial and extracranialartery significant stenosis (30.6%of ICA stenosis and41.7%of MCA stenosis), 70%of CWSI patients with intracranial and extracranial vascular significantstenosis (10%of ICA stenosis,50%of MCA stenosis, and10%of VBA severestenosis),100%of MWSI patients with intracranial and extracranial vascularsignificant stenosis(44.4%of ICA stenosis,44.4%of MCA stenosis, and11.1%of VBA stenosis). The proportion of significant vascular stenosis of IWSI andMWSI was higher than the CWI.3、There were36.7%PIWI patients with ICA significant stenosis, and30%of MCA significant stenosis. There were100%of CIWI patients withMCA significant stenosis. The incidence of ICA significant stenosis of PIWIpatients was higher than CIWI. The incidence of MCA significant stenosis ofCIWI patients was higher than PIWI.4、The PWSI patients without vascular stenosis had unstable plaques.In10cases of PWSI patients without vascular stenosis, there were6cases withunstable plaques.5、The risk factors between different types of CWI,and between groupswith and without vascular stenosis had no significant difference. Conclusion:CIWI patients was often with MCA significant stenosis (stenosis>50%).CWI patients without significant vascular stenosis (stenosis <50%) were withunstable plaques in ICA, suggesting the existence of the artery-arteryembolization. The CWI patients were often with ICA or MCA significantstenosis. The proportion of significant vascular stenosis of IWSI and MWSIwas higher than the CWI. Maybe the relationship of IWSI and low perfusionwas more closely. The risk factors between different types of CWI,and betweengroups with and without vascular stenosis had no significant difference..
