To investigate their demographic data、“the experience of the past behavior”which related to thepalliative care、“self-perceived degree of importance”and the nurses’“self-efficacy for palliative care”.The data was analyzed by SPSS11.5descriptive statistics、Spearman rank correlation analysis、one-wayANOVA、 Pearson correlation and Stepwise multiple regression.Results:(1)The nurses’ self-efficacy for Palliative care overall at a relatively high level,but in light of thephysical care、 psychological and spiritual care as well as family care aspects is unbalanced. physical careself-efficacy mean score4.00,followed by family care self-efficacy mean score3.85,then psychologicaland spiritual care self-efficacy mean score3.70(each item assignment1-5);(2)Different departments, and different attitudes toward death which in the nurses’ self-efficacy forPalliative care have significant difference(p <0.01);(3)“The experience of the past behavior”which related to the care of patients with end-stage and“self-efficacy for Palliative care”is positively correlated (r=0.698);The nurses’“self-perceived degreeof importance”and “self-efficacy for Palliative care”is also a positive correlation (r=0.617);(4) Stepwise multiple regression analysis revealed:The experience of past behavior andself-perceived degree of importance entered regression equation with57%of predictability.Conclusion The nurses’“self-efficacy for Palliative care” at a relatively high level, the self-efficacy isinfluenced by “the experience of the past behavior” which related to the care of patients with end-stage、“self-perceived degree of importance”、work departments and attitudes toward death. | Keywords/Search Tags: | Nurses, Palliative care, Self-efficacy | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
