To investigate their demographic dataã€â€œthe experience of the past behaviorâ€which related to thepalliative careã€â€œself-perceived degree of importanceâ€and the nurses’“self-efficacy for palliative careâ€.The data was analyzed by SPSS11.5descriptive statisticsã€Spearman rank correlation analysisã€one-wayANOVA〠Pearson correlation and Stepwise multiple regression.Results:(1)The nurses’ self-efficacy for Palliative care overall at a relatively high level,but in light of thephysical care〠psychological and spiritual care as well as family care aspects is unbalanced. physical careself-efficacy mean score4.00,followed by family care self-efficacy mean score3.85,then psychologicaland spiritual care self-efficacy mean score3.70(each item assignment1-5);(2)Different departments, and different attitudes toward death which in the nurses’ self-efficacy forPalliative care have significant difference(p <0.01);(3)“The experience of the past behaviorâ€which related to the care of patients with end-stage and“self-efficacy for Palliative careâ€is positively correlated (r=0.698)ï¼›The nurses’“self-perceived degreeof importanceâ€and “self-efficacy for Palliative careâ€is also a positive correlation (r=0.617)ï¼›(4) Stepwise multiple regression analysis revealed:The experience of past behavior andself-perceived degree of importance entered regression equation with57%of predictability.Conclusion The nurses’“self-efficacy for Palliative care†at a relatively high level, the self-efficacy isinfluenced by “the experience of the past behavior†which related to the care of patients with end-stageã€â€œself-perceived degree of importanceâ€ã€work departments and attitudes toward death. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Nurses, Palliative care, Self-efficacy | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
