ObjectiveThe study was to observe the different effects on treating Intestinal qi stagnation type of the Functional constipation with Traditional Chinese medicine and Acupoint catgut embedding therapy、pure Traditional Chinese medicine therapy and pure Acupoint catgut embedding therapy, thus to find whether Acupoint catgut embedding therapy can enhance the effect on treating Intestinal qi stagnation type of the Functional constipation with Traditional Chinese medicine therapy。Methods84patients according to the diagnostic standards inclusion criteria、 discharge standard promised to use the therapies. Grouping randomly, there are29patients in treatment group (Traditional Chinese medicine and Acupoint catgut embedding therapy)、29patients in control group1(pure Traditional Chinese medicine therapy) and26patients in control group2(pure Acupoint catgut embedding therapy). Constipation symptom score table was chosen to evaluate the syndrome of the patients before the treatment、at the end of the treatment、two months after the treatment。The results were inputed Excel and analyzed using SPSS16.Results(1) At the end of the treatment, the effective rate of the treatment group、the control group1、the control group2was100%、96.55%、50%, and the difference among them was significant (P<0.05). Two months after the treatment, the effective rate of the treatment group、the control group1、 the control group2was65.51%、31.03%、11.53%, and the difference among them was significant (P<0.05).(2) The comparison of symptoms between before the treatment and at the end of the treatment in each group was statistic significant (P<0.05). The comparison of symptoms between before the treatment and two months after the treatment in each of the treatment group and the control group1were statistic significant (P<0.05), while the comparison of the nature of stool in the control group2was not statistic significant(P>0.05). The comparisons of symptoms between at the end of the treatment and two months after the treatment in the treatment group and the control group1were significant(P <0.05), which showed the symptoms to some extent recurred. The comparisons of difficult defecation and abdominal distention between at the end of the treatment and two months after the treatment in the control group2were not significant(P>0.05), which showed this two symptoms were not recurred.(3) The comparison of the symptoms in three groups was statistic significant (P<0.05) at the end of the treatment, which showed the treatment group had the best clinical effect, the control group1better, the control group2good, the comparison of the difficult defecation、defecation time and defecation frequency two months after the treatment in was significant(P<0.05), which showed the treatment group had the best clinical effect, the control group1better, the control group2good. The comparison of the abdominal distention and the anal tenesmus feeling two months after the treatment in was significant (P<0.05), which showed the treatment group had the best clinical effect, the control group1better, the control group2good. The comparison of the nature of stool was not significant (P>0.05), which showed that at least two groups had the same effect on the nature of stooloConclusionsTraditional Chinese medicine and Acupoint catgut embedding therapy、pure Traditional Chinese medicine therapy、pure Acupoint catgut embedding therapy all have curative effect on treating the Functional constipation。But Traditional Chinese medicine and Acupoint catgut embedding therapy is better than pure Traditional Chinese medicine therapy or pure Acupoint catgut embedding therapy both at the end of the treatment、two months after the treatment. Pure Traditional Chinese medicine therapy is better on relieving difficult defecation、defecation time and defecation frequency two months after the treatment, while Pure Acupoint catgut embedding therapy is good at relieveing abdominal distention and the anal tenesmus feeling; Traditional Chinese medicine and Acupoint catgut embedding therapy has advantages both of them, thus can short the course of the treatment、improve the long-term outcome。...
