The Design Of Family ECG Monitor System Based On Embedded Linux

The embedded technology and Linux technology are two technologies which are used by many people. The combination of these two technologies are widely used in different applications with its advantages of compact size, light in weight, easy to carry, real-time and stability features. Embedded Linux technology is used in this paper to design family ECG monitor system which can collect human ECG data, transmit and store data. The family ECG monitor system consists of portable terminal, central control platform and remote server three modules. Portable terminals are carried by the persons who are needed to be monitored. Central control platforms can be placed in the homes. Remote servers are placed in community health centers to store users’ ECG data. The three modules are independent of each other. The interfaces on central control platform can be used to add a portable terminal which can save the cost of system. Users can configure the system through the GUI provided by the central control platform. System maintenance persons can login the platform through the Internet and update the software easily.The system’s features are as follows:each module works independently and they communicate with each other through ZigBee and Internet. The portable terminal is responsible for ECG data collection. Analog ECG signal will be filtered, amplified and AD transformed. Digital ECG data will be got and then sent to the digital filter. The processed data will be transmitted through ZigBee network. Data received by the central control platform will be processed again and stored in the local flash while uploaded to the remote server through the Internet. The remote server will save the data to the corresponding database. Doctors and guardians can view the recent ECG of patients through the web browser. The family ECG monitor system can realize real-time monitoring and help to find the diseases of people with sub-health. It’s also helpful to solve the situation that people can’t see a doctor for their illness as soon as possible. It has important meaning for people in the community and family to realize remote medical care.
