Objective:To analysis the variation of hepatic artery and its branches in liver cancer patients accepted interventional treatments through the CT angiography and provide some useful guidance for clinical cure. Methods:Retrospective analysis731cases of patients’ CTA material and analysis the origins、distribution and variation of hepatic artery and its branches; according to Michels classification, classify the hepatic artery outside of the Michels I typeclassified as variation; count every types of Michels and calculate the incidentce. We compare with Michels autopsy group, Lixiu Kui, Liu Jian, Chen guang group and this study; use statistical methods to analysis the various types’ variation and respective distribution characteristics; and summarize the characteristic of variant arterial including the incidence, the origins and distribution.Results:619cases of Michels I were found, account for84.7%(619/731) of the total;112cases of variant arterial were found, account for15.3%(112/731). In those variant arterial,6cases belong to Michels Ⅱ, account for0.8%(6/731);13cases belong to Michels Ⅲ, account for1.8%(13/731);1cases belong to Michels IV, account for0.1%(1/731);12cases belong to Michels V, account for1.6%(12/731);6cases belong to Michels Ⅵ, account for0.8%(6/731);4cases belong to Michels Ⅶ, account for0.5%(4/731);4cases belong to Michels Ⅷ account for0.5%(4/731);18cases belong to Michels Ⅸ, account for2.5%(18/731);4cases belong to Michels X,account for0.5%(4/731).44of the cases were out of the Michels classification which accounted for6.0%(44/731); There is poor consistency of the various types’variation and its distribution between our groups and the other groups. Conclusion:The hepatic artery anatomical variations with complexity and diversity; Michels classification can not fully generalized the typing of hepatic artery; It is very important to recognise the classification and variation of hepatic artery in the interventional treatment of liver cancer, resection of liver cancer and liver planantion.
