ObjectiveTo observe the diabetic rabbits after cataract posteriorcapsule opacification (PCO), the gradual process by detectingproliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) in the expression ofenvelope LEC toreflect the lens epithelial cells (LEC)proliferation after cataract occurs, summed up the changes inLEC proliferation, the mechanism of high blood sugar variationand diabetic rabbits, and normal blood sugar in rabbits in cataractLEC proliferation differences.Methods48 12-16 weeks of age, male New Zealand white rabbitswere divided into normal glucose tolerance and diabetes group (n= 24). Diabetic group by the normal blood sugar in rabbitsthrough the establishment of diabetic model. Diabetic groupunderwent extracapsular excision of the right eye lens, select d1,7,10,12 and 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks after surgery, a total of eightpoints, PCO extent observed in the slit lamp microscope andOdrich France each time point three rabbit eye specimens weregraded on the PCO. Normal blood sugar the Rabbit direct line to the capsular extraction surgery (Extracapsular lens extractionsurgery, ECLE), slit lamp microscope observation of eye surgeryeach time point, with eight of the diabetic group at each timepoint, three rabbit eye specimens. Detection at different timepoints of proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) in the twosets of rabbit eye specimens to analyze the expression of thecapsule membrane LEC and converted into the value of PI.Results1. Diabetes group was the first 10d can be observed in somespecimens appear to Class I PCO, the postoperative 4w somespecimens part of the specimen II level the PCO, postoperativefirst 6w Class III the PCO, the difference was statisticallysignificant (P <0.05).2. Diabetic group was 1,7 d PI values are 0, 10d the PI valueof 0.320±0.020, 6w PI value to reach the peak of 1.000±0.000, the first 8w PI values have declined 0.947±0.012.Normal glucose tolerance in first 1,7,10,12 d PI value 0 whenthe first 2w PI value of 0.250±0.050, followed by slowgrowth. Diabetic group compared to postoperative 8w 6 timepoints PI values with the previous point in time after surgery10d differences were significant differences (P <0.05), thedifference of PI values with the same point in time, normal glucose tolerance There were significant differences (P <0.05).That the detection of PCNA expression in the posterior capsuleLEC, the same point in time the positive expression of PCNAin diabetic rabbit eye specimens is higher than normal bloodglucose rabbit LEC proliferation of the same point in timethe diabetic group was significantly stronger than normalglucose tolerance.Conclusions1. Diabetic rabbits line ECLE postoperative PCO formationover time gradually increased after surgery 10 d the LECbegan to proliferate, reached the peak at 6 weeks.2. The occurrence of diabetic rabbits bank ECLEpostoperative PCO earlier than normal blood sugar inrabbits.3. Diabetic rabbit line ECLE postoperative LECproliferation was stronger than normal blood glucose inrabbits.
