The benign mass is one the most frequent lesion which happens in the or a-l maxillofacial. The clinical features and classification is various. In accordanc-e with the main characters is divided into benign tumors, cysts, and tumor-like lesi ons. This stage, the incidence of benign lesions gradually increased, the probabilit-y of recurrence of benign lesions and malignant transformation (or) increased grad-ually, so early diagnosis of benign lesions, and a thorough treatment is very impo-rtant.This study intended for the analysis of the prevalence of such lesions.ObjectiveIncidence constitute the characteristics of benign lesions of the department of oral and maxillofacial benign tumors, cysts, and the tumor-like lesions clinical data an-alysis, to investigate the incidence of lesions, and look forward to the clinical di-agnosis and treatment of such lesions in the future basis.MethodsIn February2002to2011May,Retrospective analysis The First Affiliated Ho-spital of Zhengzhou University of stomatology treatmented and9years with co-mplete data cases. These cases of the oral and maxillofacial pathological diagnos-is, the results were benign tumors, cysts and tumor-like lesions of the class hospita-lized cases, the number of a total of3208cases. The Pathology and sites of th-e classification with reference to the2005WHO classification of oral pathology fift h edition and The sixth edition of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The study focused primarily on the histopathological classification of benign tumors, cysts, a-nd tumor-like lesions of the oral and maxillofacial region, patient gender, age, lesi-on site, the annual number benign lesions modalities share of changes.Results1.The benign tumors was seized of1463cases(44.76%).cysts accounted for29.74%of954cases, the tumor-like lesions of818cases accounted for25.50%. Benign tumors, cysts, and class of tumor-like lesion ratiol.76:1.67:1.2.Pathological classification:The benign tumors in this study pathological class-ification of28kinds of which the most common mixed tumor of477cases, cys-ts,pathological classification of17kinds of non-stereotyped jaw cyst is the mostc-ommon of about226cases, class tumor like lesions, pathological classification of7kinds of diseases are the most common vascular malformations of603cases.3.Gende:ln3208cases female ratio was male1670cases.1436cases of wo-men. Benign lesions in the male was715, female was721, Cysts in the male was522, female was432.Tumor-like lesion of male was433, Benign lesions i-n the male to female ratio of0.99:1, the cysts of male to female ratio of1.31:1, t-umor-like lesions of male to female ratio of1.12:1.4.Age:In3208cases of benign lesions in this group research, the minimum a ge of the patients a month, the oldest patient was90years old, a high incidence o fage10≤years old age group a total of778cases, accounting for about the pr-evalence of all benign lesions24.25%of the number.11years old-20years old a ge group, a total of536cases, accounting for16.71%of all sick for the sec-ond.21years old-30years old age group, a total of450cases, accounting fo-r14.03%of all sick for the third. In order to prevent the emergence of samp-le content in the distribution of inequality, redivide age:young group (≤44y-ears old), middle-aged group (aged45-59years old) and older group (aged≥60). Youth group of benign tumors, cysts, tumor-like lesions of the ratio of62.53%,22.35%,15.11%.Middle age group the ratio was81.97%,10.06%,7.97%:the ratio of the elderly group was87.64%,7.75%,4.61%.(x=199.411, P<0.05by the chisquare test). 5.Sites.The proportion of3208cases of patients with the mandible and maxi-lla region accounting for23.44%of all cases, followed by about21.79%of the p-arotid gland region, the maxillofacial region accounting for8.76%. Benign tum-ors of the parotid gland area lesions, the cyst following mandibular lesions, class o f tumor-like lesions of the tongue region.6. Benign tumors, cysts and tumor-like lesions overall incidence of an up ward trend year after year. Benign tumors, the share of benign than the highes-t, followed by the cyst, tumor-like lesions occupied more than the minimum. Cysts and tumor-like lesions over-all incidence of an upward trend year after y-ear. Benign diagnosis and treatment of the annual number of cases and the pr-oportion gradually increased after2005show a downward trend to2009, the highest proportion in2010was slightly lower than in2009.Cyst number and f-ull year share ratio trends upward trend gradually declined in2005. Admitted t-o tumor-like lesions, the number and proportion year by year increase for the year to increase.Conclusion1.3208cases in this study, The benign tumors, cysts, tumor-like lesions1.76:1.67:1.Benign highest proportion, followed by cysts, and the tumor-like lesions.2.Benign tumors in this study be28kinds of diseases, cysts, there are17kinds of disease, tumor-like lesions have seven kinds of diseases.3.Gradually increased the proportion of women in this group of cases of benign lesions.4.The ratio of the different nature of the lesions of all ages There were signifi-cant differences as the ratio of age the growth of benign tumors, cysts, tumor-like lesions have decreased. The highest incidence of age is younger.5. In this study occurs in the parotid region, jaw region and in the tongu-e area.6. From January2003-December2010, the annual number of benign tumors, cysts and tumor-like lesions, and all diagnosis and treatment of diseases share o-f changes in the overall upward trend.
