| Objectives:To investigate the expressions of CK2B and XIAP in cholangiocarcinoma and to analysis their correlation with clinical-pathological parameters and prognosis. Methods:Immunohistochemistry were used to detect the expressions of CK2B and XIAP in50cholangiocarcinoma tissues and20nomal bile ducts, the correlation between CK2B and XIAP expression with clinical-pathological parameters as well as prognosis were analysed.Results:(1).The expression of CK2B and XIAP in cholangiocarcinoma tissues were significandy higher than that in nomal bile ducts(P<0.001), there is significant correlation between CK2B and XIAP expression in cholangiocarcinoma.(2).The expression of Ck2β in cholangiocarcinoma was associated with TNM stage(P=0.036), histological grade (P=0.020) and preoperative serum CEA level(P=0.010).(3). The expression of XIAP in cholangiocarcinoma was associated with TNM stage(P=0.014) and preoperative serum CEA level(P=0.001). It is positive of correlation between CK2B and XIAP in cholangiocarcinoma tissues(r=0.641, P<0.001)(3). Univariate survival analysis reavealed that TNM stage(P=0.024), resection margin (P=0.041), preoperative serum CEA level(P=0.006), preoperative Bilirubin (P=0.017), With or without complication(P=0.004), and higher expression of CK2β(P=0.003) and XIAP(P=0.018) were associated with poor prognosis for overall survival. In the multivariate analysis, TNM stage(P=0.004), preoperative Bilirubin (P=0.004)and with or without complicationl(P<0.001) and higher expression of CK2B(P=0.004) were independent risk factors for overall survival.Conclusion:CK2B and XIAP may play an important role in progression of cholangiocarcinoma, and CK2B can be used as an independent prognostic factor for survival of patients with cholangiocarcinoma. |
