Purpose: Study the clinical manifestation, diagnosis and prevention measures ofectopic IUD.Materials and methods: Analysis and compare80cases of IUD ectopic or incarceratedfrom2004January to2011December in The first Affiliated Hospital of Jilin University.Result: In80patients,19cases (23.75%) without any symptoms,19cases (23.75%)showed prolonged menstruation or irregular vaginal bleeding,30cases (37.5%) showeddifferent degrees of the waist and abdominal pain, after Intrauterine device placement;9cases (11.25%) pregnancy with IUD,3cases(3.75%) showed hematuria and urination,etc.All the80patients preferred ultrasound examination,13patients used abdominal x-ray orRadiographic inspection,28patients used CT examination,2patients used cystoscopy, Themajority of patients used a variety of means to diagnose of ectopia of IUD or incarcerated,single mean only8cases(10%), The majority of patients used ultrasound combined with CTway to diagnose. In final,59cases were diagnosed of IUD located in the uterus (Some ofthe embedded’s45cases, completely embedded meal of14cases),21cases were IUD out ofthe uterus. All the80patients used Operation treatment,1case with IUD some of theembedded due to personal reason no go to surgery.15cases (18.75%) by routineextaction.33cases used hysteroscope to extract under ultrasonic monitoring,13cases takenectopic IUD by laparoscopic operation smoothly,9cases taken device by laparoscopycombined with hysteroscopy(1case intestinal wall incision and intestinal repair).2cases ofrepair of bladder by laparoscopy,hysteroscopy and cystoscope.7cases used open operationto fetch device(2case failure of hysteroscopy surgery change to open operation;1caserequired simultaneous repair of bladder). Last,76cases successed to taken device,4casesfailed to taken device due to unable to explore the IDU. The success rate was95%.Conclusion: Most of ectopic IUD no obvious clinical symptoms, The majority ofpatients discovered it in physical examination, or found it through by the discomfort ofVaginal bleeding, abdominal pain and frequent urination and so on. On the clinical use ofultrasound, X-ray, CT, cystoscopy and other auxiliary examination methods to diagnose andlocate ectopic IUD. At the same time judge the type of ectopic IDU based on the auxiliaryexamination. According the result to choose and formulate reasonable implement scheme.
