| Objective To study the effect of Shenhuang granule in kidney deficiency aging patients on the scores of symptoms, psychological aging and activity of daily living, and observe the effect on the content of SOD and NO, in order to study the clinical efficacy and mechanism of Shenhuang granule on anti-aging.Methods According to syndrome differentiation of aging, a total of60patients with kidney deficiency were enrolled and evaluated. Using random single randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study methods included in the study to divided all the patients into treatment group and control group, each group were30patients. Treatment group were treated with routine treatment and Shenhuang granule (Agreement prescription of TCM Hospital of JiangSu province), each time10g,3times a day. In the control group, the patients were given routine treatment and co-dergocrine mesylate tablets, each time1mg,3times a day. The continuous course of treatment was8weeks with subsequent visit every7days. Observation time was one course of treatment. The change of clinical symptoms of aging, psychological aging and activity of daily living and content of SOD and NO were observed before and after treatment.Results Our research reaveals that (1)30cases in treatment group,3cases had marked effective,21cases had effective, and6cases without effect, the total curitive rate was80.0%; in the control group, the total effective rate was43.3%, with1case had marked effective,12cases had effective,17cases without effect. The difference of the total effective rate between2group was statically significant, P<0.05. There was no statistical significance between the scores of symptoms in2kinds of TCM syndrome type of aging before and after treatment in treatment group (P>0.05).(2) All the treatments can improve the degree of psychological aging in aging patients, but the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05).(3) All the treatments can significantly improve the activity of daily living of aging patients, and the curative effect of treatments group was superior to the control group (P<0.05). The difference was statically significant between the change of NO in serum before and after treatment in treatment group (P <0.05), there was no statistical significance change in control group (P>0.05). After treatment, the content of SOD in serum was higher than before, the difference was statically significant (P<0.05), but there was no statically significant difference in control group (P>0.05), the comparison between groups indicated that, the content of SOD in serum of treatment group was higher than control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Shenhuang granule can effectively improve the clinical symptom score in aging patients with kidney deficiency, and have effect in different TCM syndrome type of aging, it can improve psychological aging and activity of daily living, it also can improve the level of NO and SOD in serum. The mechanism may be by improving the substance levels of free radicals in aging patients with kidney deficiency, and reduce oxidative damage, and adjust functional status, achieve the role of anti-aging. |
