Similarity Evaluation Methodology Of Fingerprint For TCM

Traditional Chinese Medicine, originated from the long-term practice of our people, is a very important part of the world medical field, also made a significant contribution to human thriving. In recent years, due to the rapid development of the cause of human health and the increasingly competitive of international pharmaceutical industry, the integration of international economic requires the internationalization and modernization development of the TCM. Hence, the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) fingerprint emerged.The Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) fingerprint has broad application prospects in authentication of the TCM, quality assessment, quality control of the whole production process of the TCM, final product quality evaluation, and the development of new drugs.It is a new issue of the quality control, a quality evaluation model which is widely accepted both domestic and international.The similarity for the TCM fingerprint is an important indicator to identify the au-thenticity and quality of the TCM. The similarity reflect the degree of similarity between fingerprints, in order to evaluate the quality of the TCM comprehensively and objectively, is an effective means of evaluation fingerprint, also matches the basic properties of the vague-ness and integrity of it. In this paper, the similarity evaluation method has been improved against the defects in the previous methods. Proposed new methods for two steps of it, one is the method of the establishment of control fingerprint and another is the method of similarity computing. Through the analysis of the case, new method can effectively measure the similarity between the fingerprints.The paper is divided into four chapters:Chapter I, Introduction, mainly introduces the research background, significance, rele-vant basic knowledge, and describes the research content of this article.Chapter II, Study of Establishing Reference Fingerprint for TCM, introduces the con-cept of reference fingerprint and research status (both domestic and international), and proposed a new approach, while taking advantage of the examples analyzed. Chapter III, Study of Calculating the Similarity of Fingerprint for TCM, introduces a similarity calculation method in the past and proposed the method of integrated similarity. At the same time applied to the instance, get fairly good results.Chapter IV, Conclusions and Expectation, summarized the contents of this article and put forward to the future research.
