Rabbits were treated by intragastricgavage a week after modling beginning. Normal group and model contrast groupwere treated by saline solution. Treatment group were treated by Bawei RouganPowder decoction. Right femoral condylar cartilages and synovial fluids wereremoved after8weeks. The characteristics of cartilage histological wereobserved by the method of Mankin.IL-1and TNFα of all groups were measuredby ELISA,NO and NOS of synovial fluids were measured by the nitratereductase assay, and apoptosis incidence of all groups were measured byTUNEL. Results: Mankin’s score of the treatment group was lower than the modelcontrast group. Compared with the normal group, IL-1ã€TNFαã€NO and NOSlevel increased in the model contrast group. But IL-1ã€TNFαã€NO and NOS levelof the treatment group was lower than the model contrast group.
