Objective:To analyze relative factors of sudden deafness patients who receive inpatient treatment retrospectively. to explore possible influence factors on the prognosis of sudden deafness. To provide the clinical evidence for th e treatment and the prognosis of sudden deafness.Method:According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,173cases of sudden deafness patients which were hospitalized in our hospital fr om January2008to December2011.They are grouped according to patient’s gender, age, the initial time of therapy, degree of hearing loss, sick ear, accompanying symptoms, accompanying hypertension, accompanying diabetes, length of stay and so on. By Using chi-square test of single factor and multiple logistic regression analy sis method for the overall factors, the paper evaluates the relevant factors that influence on the prognosis.Result:In total173patients(181ears),there are91man and82women, whose average age is43.2+/-14.7years and whose average hospitalization time was8.6+/-5.3days.151cases are accompanied by tinnitus, and40cases companied by vertigo,18cases accompanied by hypertension,15cases accompanied by diabetes mellitus. The results show that the total effective rate of sudden deafness after treatm ent was55.5%.Other correlation factors, such as degree of hearing loss and the initial time of therapy, accompanying diabetes, vertigo, age, would be relevant to the prognosis(P<0.05).Patients’gender, sick ear, accompanying hypertension etc, are not significant relevant on patient’s prognosis(P>0.05).In multivariate logistic regression analysis, only accompanying diabetes and accompanying vertigo, have influence on patients’prognosis(P<0.05).Conclusion:1. The single factor analysis of influence on the prognosis of sudden deafness shows that degree of hearing loss is greater, there is worse prognosis. Earlier treatment helps patients with auditory rehabilitation.young and middle-aged patients have good prognosis than the elderly patients.2. The multivariate logistic regression analysis indicates that the prognosis has not significant relevant to the initial time of therapy, degree of hearing loss, patient’age (P>0.05),only accompanying diabetes and accompanying vertigo, have influence on patients’prognosis(P<0.05).
