Objective: To study the relationship between distribution of plasma HDLsubclasses and LCAT, CETP levels in patients with type2diabetes.Subjects and Methods: The concentrations of plasma HDL subclasses inwithout type2diabetes (n=103) and patients with type2diabetes (n=78) weredetermined by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis associated with immunodetectionmethod. The concentrations of TG, TC, HDL-C, LDL-C, apoAⅠ, apoB100in twogroups were determined by automatic biochemical analysis instrument. Theconcentrations of LCAT and CETP were determined by ELISA kits.Results:1. Compared with without type2diabetes, the concentrations of TC, TG, apoB100,preβ1-HDL and HDL3b(P<0.01or P<0.05) in patients with type2diabetes weresignificantly higher, but that of preβ2-HDL, HDL2a,HDL2b, LCAT andapoA Ⅰ/apoB100(P<0.01) were significantly lower. Correlation between HDLsubclasses and lipids in patients with type2diabetes showed that the level of HDL-Cwere positively correlated with the levels of preβ1-HDL, HDL3b, HDL3a, HDL2a,HDL2b(P<0.01), the level of apoA Ⅰw ere positively correlatedwith the levelsofpreβ1-HDL, preβ2-HDL, HDL3c, HDL3b, HDL3a, HDL2a, HDL2b(P<0.01), the levelof apoB100were positively correlated with HDL3a(P<0.05), the ratio ofapoA Ⅰ/apoB100were positively correlated with the levels of preβ1-HDL,preβ2-HDL, HDL3c, HDL3b, HDL2a, HDL2b(P<0.01), the level of LCAT werepositively correlated with HDL3a(P<0.05), and the level of TG were negativelycorrelated with preβ1-HDL, HDL3c(P<0.05). 2. Patients with type2diabetes were stratified according to quartiles of plasma CETP(groupⅠ<0.74μg/ml,0.74μg/ml≤groupⅡ <1.02μg/ml,1.02μg/ml≤groupⅢ <1.35μg/ml, group Ⅳ≥1.35μg/ml). The concentrations of preβ1-HDL in group Ⅲwere significantly higher than that in groupⅠ (P<0.05). The concentrations of HDL3cin group Ⅳ were significantly higher than that in groupⅠ (P<0.05). Theconcentrations of TG in group Ⅲ and Ⅳ were significantly lower than that in groupⅠ(P<0.05). Patients with type2diabetes were stratified according to quartiles ofplasma LCAT (groupⅠ<19.94μg/ml,19.94μg/ml≤groupⅡ<33.23μg/ml,33.23μg/ml≤groupⅢ <65.38μg/ml, groupⅣ≥65.38μg/ml). The concentrations ofHDL-C in group Ⅲ and HDL3ain group Ⅳ were significantly higher than that ingroupⅠ (P<0.05). The concentrations of preβ1-HDL and HDL3cin group Ⅳ weresignificantly lower than that in groupⅠ (P<0.05).Conclusion: The maturation of HDL could be abnormol in patients withtype2diabetes. Distribution of HDL subclasses were influenced by LCAT,CETP levels in patients with type2diabetes.
