Rhizoma Atractylodes has more values of Chinese traditional, it is a renascent herbs of composite, and mainly distributed in Jiang su, Hu bei, Shan dong. Dry stenophora is medicinal position, its has mildness of properties and sweetness and bitter taste and no toxicity. It is processed of stomach and from entry into spleen, it has therapeutic effect on invigorating the spleen to dry and dispelling wind and removing obstruction in the meridians. The clinical practice of the Rhizoma Atractylodes such as spleen-stomach damp-heat syndrome, diarrhea, edema, rheumatic arthralgia and wind-cold type of common cold. The mainly chemical constituents of the Rhizoma Atractylodes is volatile oil, glycoside, organic acid and protein and so on.Presently the extraction methods of Rhizoma Atractylodes are steam distillation and soxhlet extraction, but this extraction methods had disadvantage in time-consuming and low efficiency ubipuitous. In this text, we have study on microwave-assisted extraction and ultrasonic-assisted extraction these two rising extraction in resently, explore and comparison of optimum technology of these two extraction, and study on the fatty acid which is another composition of Rhizoma Atractylodes.The volatile yield was indicator for better extraction. In the First, study on optimization of technological conditions for microwave-assisted extraction, and obtained the best process conditions of extraction of microwave-assisted extraction.In this condition, the volatile yield was4.419%, this is better than steam distillation and soxhlet extraction. The chemical components of volatile oils have been studied by GC-MS.88constituents have been separated and74have been identified. Secondly, study on optimization of technological conditions for ultrasonic-assisted extraction, obtained the best process conditiongs of extraction of ultrasonic-assisted extraction.In this condition, the volatile yield was4.975%, this is also better than steam distillation and soxhlet extraction. The chemical components of volatile oils have been studied by GC-MS.94constituents have been separated and88have been identified.Finally, this is the fist time of studing on Fatty acid which is in the Rhizoma Atractylodes. The fatty acids of Rhizoma Atractylodes were extracted by Soxhlet extraction and Flash type extraction device and analysed by GC-MS. According the results,44peaks were separated and siven kinds of fatty acids were identified from the Soxhlet extraction,9,12-Octadecadienoic acid and11-Octadecadienoic acid had high content by taking the proportion of34.68%and4.46%;27peaks were separated and five kinds of fatty acids were identified from the Flash type extraction device,11,14-Eicosadienoic acid and the linoleic acid had high content by taking the proportion of4.62%and1.54%. As the research results, microwave-assisted extraction for volatile oil extraction of Rhizoma Atractylodes has industrial application prospect, and more improved the volatile yield, economy the medical resource of Rhizoma Atractylodes, it is worth to popularization and application. Firstly discovered there is many fatty acids in the Rhizoma Atractylodes, filled in blank of research of fatty acids in the Rhizoma Atractylodes,and providation of foundation for systemic researching of medicinal resources of Rhizoma Atractylodes.
