The Study On The Effect Of Chang Yu Ning Granules On Intestinal Mucosal Tlr4Expression On Active Ulcerative Colitis Patients (Colorectal Damp-heat)

Objective:Observe the influence of Changyuning Granules for TLR4expression in intestinal mucosa of active UC in order to further elucidate the Changyuning Granules on the activities of UC for the mechanism of action.Methods:90cases of wards and outpatients from December2009to February2011were selected. All cases were confirmed by the western diagnostic criteria for diagnosis of mild to moderate active ulcerative colitis and reconfirmed by the electronic colonoscopy. We divided these patients into3groups of30cases randomly. The group of Chinese medicine took Changyuning Granules10g each time, and2times a day. The Western medicine group was given oral mesalazine sustained release granules1.0g each time, and4times a day. The combined with medicine group was given Changyuning Granules lOg and Mesalazine1.0g each time, respectively is daily2and daily4times. The treatment lasted four weeks. Clinical symptoms were observed in the group of patients before and after treatment, also for the colonic intestinal mucosa changes. In the meanwhile, we inspect the4mRNA expression of intestinal mucosa in3groups using the method of RT-PCR. and observe the safety index of kidney function and other.Results:1. After the treatment, the electronic colonoscopy mucosa overall efficiency of the Chinese medicine group was83.3%, and that of the western medicine and the combined with medicine groups were86.7%and90.0%, respectively. There was no significantly difference among these three groups on the synthetic curative effect (P>0.05).2. After treatment, three groups of DAI decreased significantly, and compared with before treatment there is an obvious difference (P<0.05); DAI score in the three groups has no significant difference after treatment (P>0.05).3. Before treatment and after treatment of intestinal mucosal Toll like receptor4expression comparison showed significant difference (P<0.05), Chinese medicine, western medicine Chang Yu Ning mesalazine and the two union of the intestinal mucosa of Toll like receptor4inhibition.4.During the course of the treatment,there was no adverse reaction occur in the Chinese medicine group and the combined with medicine group.But there were5cases of nausea and3cases headache in the western medicine group, and both of them made quickly recovery,so there wasn’t any effect with the treatment.Conclusions:1. Changyuning Granules can significantly reduce the activity of ulcerative colitis patients with DAI score and improve patients’ clinical symptoms.2. Changyuning Granules has an excellent repair effect for active ulcerative colitis in patients with intestinal mucosal lesions.3. Changyuning Granules has an inhibitory action for TLR4expression in intestinal mucosa of active UC4. Changyuning Granules has a remarkable effect on active ulcerative colitis patients,there was almost no adverse reaction during the course of taking Changyuning Granules.
