Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Da Ming Yin decoction and electroacupuncture on treatment of non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy(NPDR),and to explore the mechanism of treatment of NPDR.Methods:31patients with type Ⅱ diabetes mellitus concurrent with non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy were randomly divided into the treatment group (16cases,30eyes) treated by Da Ming Yin decoction and electroacupuncture, while the control group(15cases,30eyes) treated by Da Ming Yin decoction only. The whole observation lasted1month. Every patient was examined on vision, serum lipid, retrobulbar hemodynamics, fundus photography and fundus fluorescein angiography before treatment and after1month’s treatment. Compare the data with statistical analysis. P>0.05is statistically insignificant and P<0.05is significant.Results:1. After treatment, the total effective rate of treatement group was80%, and the control group’s was73.3%, the difference is no statistically significant(P>0.05).2.The visions of the both groups were improved than before the treatment, the difference is statistically significant(P<0.01); After the treatment, the difference of visions between two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).3. The results of fundus examination and fundus fluorescein angiography of the two groups had improved than before the treatment, the difference is no statistically significant (P>0.05).4. Contrasted between two groups, the results of triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC),and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) had all reduced than before treatment, the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05). After the treatment, the difference between two groups was no statistically significant(P>0.05) on TG,TC and LDL-C.5. Retrobulbar hemodynamics was ameliorated in both groups after the treatment, significant difference was shown in the comparison of PSV, EDV between before the treatment and after the treatment (P<0.01),and there was no significant difference on the RI(P>0.05). After the treatment, there was significant differerce in the comparison of PSV and EDV between two groups(P<0.05).,and there was no significant difference in the comparison of RI between two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:The combined treatment of Da Ming Yin decoction and electroacupuncture had obvious efficacy on treating non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy(NPDR).
