Objective To investigate the status of depressive symptom and its influential factorsamong left-behind children in rural area of Anhui Province, so as to provide the basicinformation for the development of depression intervention program.Methods3169students were recruited as the subjects from one Country of AnhuiProvince with random cluster sampling method. Parents-Child Conflict TacticsScales (SPC). To study the situation of depressive symptom among left-behind childrenand its influential factors with the multivariate logistic regression analysis. Results The prevalence of depression was10.4%and that among left-behind childrenwas12.1%, which was significant higher than that among other children. The rates ofparent families’ care was significant lower than single-parent families,inter-generational relatives or peers care type. The scores of APGAR and CDI werenegatively correlated. The scores of Negative Coping and CDI were negativelycorrelated, while the scores of positive Coping were positively. The prevalence ofneglect among left-behind children was70.2%, which was significant higher than thatamong other children (3.5%). Kinds of physical abuse of left-behind children were allsignificant lower than the other children. Among left-behind children, family function, neglect, physical abuse, academic performance and peer relationships of children weremore likely to be depressive symptoms.
