Objective The purpose of the present study was to examine the bone-inductive activityof platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and coralline hydroxyapatite (CHA) compound for boneregeneration in immediate implants. Make a general evaluation of the bone and provideaccordance for the clinic work.Methods8beagle dogs were used. Under general anesthesia,2,3,and4premolars inboth sides of the mandible were extracted and immediate implants were placed. Eachextraction socket is implanted one implant along mesio bone wall. Make the directionsof distal and bucco lingual bone defection,3mm width,4mm vertical depth. Divideeach dog’s6bone defections into3groups,2positions in one group. Either filled withPRP+CHA (group A), CHA (group B) and make blank control group (group C). Dogswere sacrificed at the end of3-month after surgery. The specimens were acquired andexamined by gross examination, histological observation and biomechanics.Results All the implants have no clinic mobility, no defulvium. Implant thread can notbeen seen in Group A and Group B, the top of the implants have been grew into by softtissue of Group C. Removing the soft tissue, we can see the thread, the soft tissue canalso been seen in one of the samples. Various bone tissue regeneration all appears inGroup A B and C. Group A has the most new bone,and the highest bone-implantcombination rate, the highest point of the combination tend the coronal; Group B isworse than Group A, Group C is the worst. Comparison between them among the groups, differences owns the statistics significance; the bone quality in Group A ismature, trabecula is strong, bone-formation is standard; Degree of bone maturity inGroup B is not as good as Group A, bone activities are still exist. The bone quality ofGroup C is worse than the other groups, the quality and the quantity are lower thanothers. Biomechanics test shows that Implant-bone interface in Group A is the firmest,the force to break it is the largest, Group B is weaker than Group A, Group C is thelowest. The comparison of the groups is similar to that of bone combination.Differences among the groups owns the statistics significance.Conclusion In this experiment, compare with the groups without PRP, Group A ownsthe most new bone, the force to break it is the largest. It shows PRP+CHA couldpromote new bone growing and mature. Two materials is easy-getting and cheap, easyoperation, and could be used in the bone defection in the immediate implant bonedefection. PRP is original from self body, no immunogenicity, the massive of growthfactor could promote the reborn of bone tissue; CHA has a good biocompatibility anddegradability, the proficiency of bone-formation is excellent, can control thedegradation speed after implanting in the body, degradation products are nontoxic sideeffect, it is a ideal bone substitute materials.
