ObjectiveTo detect the expression of4endothelial cell markers in the Schlemm’s canal endothelial cells(SCECs):Platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1(PECAM-1), Lymphatic vessel endothelial hyaluronan receptor-1(LYVE-1), Factor Ⅷ-related Antigen (von willebrand factor, vWF), Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-1(VEGFR-1). To investigate whether the SCECs are connected to blood endothelial cells(BECs) and lymphatic endothelial cells(LECs). To lay a foundation for the particular marker selecting of SCECs.MethodsAll tissues from the anterior chamber angle were obtained from three normal eyes, were obtained from keratoplasty donor’s eyes. PECAM-1、 LYVE-1、vWF、VEGFR-1expression in SCECs was examined by immunohistostaining.Results1. PECAM-1stained SCECs.2. LYVE-1stained ciliary body whereas was negative in SCECs.3. vWF and VEGFR-1were negative in SCECs.Conclusions1. The expression of PECAM-1in SCECs suggests PECAM-1could be the direct marker of SCECs.2. LYVE-1, vWF and VEGFR-1were negative in SCECs, which suggest none of them could be the direct marker of SCECs.3. It’s practicable to differentiate SCECs from BECs and LECs by PECAM-1(+)、LYVE-1(-)、vWF (-)、VEGFR-1(-)...
