Objective:To observe the expressions of Thrombodpondin-1(TSP-1) and Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in the endometrial uterine cavity of patients with intrauterine adhesions, to analysis the function of TSP-1and VEGF in the mechanism of the occurrence and development of intrauterine adhesions.Materials and Methods:65patients with intrauterine adhesions and30patients of normal uterine cavity with infertility were enrolled to Department of Gynecology of the3rd Xiang-ya Hospital of Central South University. From July2011to September2011, they were performed Hysteroscopy surgery. Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the differential expression of TSP-1and VEGF in95cases.Result:1. The positive expression rate of TSP-1in the endometrium of uterine cavity with IUA and endometrium of normal uterine cavity were96.92%,13.33%. There were statistical differences between of them (p <0.05). The positive expression rate of VEGF in the endometrium of uterine cavity with IUA and endometrium of normal uterine cavity were95.38%,100%. There were no statistical differences between of them (p>0.05).2. The expression of TSP-1and VEGF in endometrium of severe intrauterine adhesions was higher than the endometrium of the moderate intrauterine adhesions, and TSP-1and VEGF in endometrium of the moderate intrauterine adhesions was also higher than the mild intrauterine adhesions (p<0.05).Conclusion:1. There were positive expressions of TSP-1and VEGF in endometrium of uterine cavity with IUA, which suggested that TSP-1and VEGF may associate with IUA.2. The strength of this expression was probably associated with the development of adhesions.3. TSP-1, VEGF may through the mutual interaction take part in the formation of intrauterine adhesions.
