Objective To understand the high school students in poor areas of Yunnan and Shaanxi nutrition knowledge, attitudes and behavior of the status quo, and its influencing factors, nutrition and food safety educational materials to provide information, prepared for UNESCO to provide the basis for the future to carry out high school students of nutrition and food safety education intervention.Method The first method of using random sampling method to select the two poverty-stricken counties of the poverty-stricken areas Yunnan Huize Shaanxi Town, County, and then using the cluster sampling method, two poor counties in eight secondary school of1002students in24classes were Nutrition and food safety knowledge-attitude-behavior questionnaire. The general situation of baseline information and the KAP questionnaire data collection of students’families, nutrition and food safety knowledge, attitude, behavior, comparative analysis of the situation.Results Target schools junior high school students the basics of nutrition and food security is more the lack of an average score of7.51±3.43correct answers was41.7%±19.0%. Unhealthy dietary behaviors and proper diet only entry rate of55.7%±24.1%higher."Nutrient deficiencies" entry rate was34.8%±27.7%correct, the entry of nutrient function and dietary sources of entry the correct rate of36.9%±34.4%and food safety, basic knowledge of "the correct rate of27.3%±19.2%lower for the knowledge part of the weak links. The univariate analysis show different gender students, stay and non-stay students and parents education students’knowledge component scores were different, the difference was statistically significant, P value for the0.036,0.032and0.000, respectively. Multiple linear regression showed that age and parental education level into the regression equation, the partial regression coefficients were0.535,0.517and0.390(P<0.05), suggesting that increases with age, the increase in the student’s knowledge of nutrition and food safety higher; the educational level of parents, their children nutrition and food safety knowledge is more abundant, logistic regression analysis showed that the nation is left behind and students into the regression equation, the OR values were1.396and0.533, suggesting that left-behind children tend to get more knowledge of nutrition and food safety, nutrition and food safety knowledge of minority students is more abundant.Attitude, good attitude for nutrition and food safety education, with an average score of4.47±2.4580.0%±14.8%the proportion of positive attitude. Counties students in the newspapers, magazines and television advertisements, information on nutrition and food safety is a reliable entry with a childhood nutritional status is very important to the health of the entire life "on the entry attitude difference was statistically significance, P values were0.007and0.013.Behavior, the proportion of students’health behavior in the two counties is relatively small, the behavior of some average score of3.75±1.13points, in which the Huize students average score of3.83±0.98points, the Zhen’an students average score3.62±1.31points higher Huize students, P=0.006. Target students for breakfast, fruits, vegetables, meat, milk, eggs, beans, food intake frequency less than the entries health behavior only pay attention to food with more than50%, the rate of other entries have health behavior low.Conclusions1. Huize and town County junior high school nutrition and food safety knowledge lacks, unhealthy eating behavior needs to be improved, but the positive attitude of the Nutrition and Food Safety, suitable for carrying out missionary activity.2Age, parents’educational level, ethnic and whether the stay, students are nutrition and food safety knowledge score influencing factors.
