The Research Of Application And Position With Video EEG In Epilepsy

Objective: Video or television video electroencephalogram (Video-EEG) monitoringis a combination of video and EEG can real-time monitoring of patients with onset ofsynchronization description in mind of EEG waveforms as well as the origin, can not onlyimprove the positive rate of EEGidentification of epilepsy seizure types, but also toprovide the electro-physiological basis of epilepsy and other seizure disordersidentification. Methods: Neurology clinic and ward August2010December to2011100cases of clinical onset of symptoms in patients with video-EEG data results were analyzedto confirm the diagnosis. Results:1collected100cases,82cases of the epilepsy group,18cases of suspected epilepsy group.85cases of patients with epileptic discharge in78casesof seizure types, including the limitations of43cases of seizures,generalized seizures12cases of35cases,8cases of seizure type to re-confirm.2. Confirmation of epilepsysyndrome based on clinical data and the seizure type,48cases diagnosed as epilepsysyndrome, benign childhood epilepsy with central temporal spikes12cases, l0cases ofchildhood absence epilepsy, juvenile myoclonic epilepsy,5cases of Lennox-Gastautsyndrome in three cases, four cases of frontal lobe epilepsy, temporal lobe epilepsy,12cases,2cases of occipital lobe epilepsy.3.Epilepsy surgery patients were performedrespectively V-EEG, preoperative PET, intraoperative ECoG found.Among them, the V-EEG and PET accuracy of the localization of the epileptogenic zone was statisticallysignificant difference (P＜0.05); while VEGG+sphenoid electrode tracings on theaccuracy of the localization of epileptic foci is higher than the simple VEGG(P＜0.05).Conclusion: The video-EEG significantly increased epileptiform wave detection rates,provide an important basis for the diagnosis, differential diagnosis and classification ofepilepsy. V-the EEG localization of epileptic foci is an important value.
